tripod Flimsy

Ted Duckworth, Amazon
2 January 2014
  • Summary: This was purchase to go with Sony DSC-HX500V. While the bulk of the kit is a nice compliment, The Tripod in the kit is a bit on the Flimsy side, But you get what was paid for.

Pretty good features

  • Summary: Overall, it is a nice camera with some cool features, but I sometimes like to look through the viewfinder when I take pictures. With this camera, it is all distorted and doesn't serve any purpose at all.

not all it seems to be

geoff grotz, Amazon
6 February 2013
  • Summary: The camera case was seems to be smaller than the case the camera was issued with. For an aftermarket item it should have the ability to hold the camera and those accessories that are sold with it, which this does not.

3 and 1/2 stars: Nice camera but a big con

H.F., Amazon
3 August 2012
  • Summary: I've been a amateur photographer for years, having an SLR in high school, using canon digital point & shoots for work and the past few years getting my DSLR(nikon d5000). Getting the Sony Cyber-shot out of the box, it's definitely an attractive, well built camera.

Just OK

deanie1, Amazon

  • Summary: Bought this to replace an old Lumix which I loved, but broke. It's definitely better than a three year broken bridge camera or a cheapo pocket point and shoot. I know a little about cameras and have owned several, but am no pro. I've had this for two weeks and have taken a ton of pics.

Camera Great but issue with selector

Naz, Amazon
22 May 2012
  • Summary: This camera deserves a rating of 5 but was disappointed when I started using that the camera would automatically change the mode when taking a picture. When I checked the Sony website it was a known problem and also just purchased was not offering any good packages to have it repaired.

  • Pros: Pretty good zoom range, Great focusing speed , Lots of scene modes , Manual and Auto functions ,HD
  • Cons: Med image quality, High noise,Poor view - finder,Soft at high end .

Sony Cyber-Shot HX200V

Bernadette Coleman, Amazon
4 April 2014
  • Summary: Maybe I need to do a bit of studying on the workings of the camera but I have got better prints from my Sony Xperia S phone camera. I have tended to use it on automatic so far.
