great, but needs a viewfinder instead of just the lcd

Summary: Still use it all the time, videos are great, especially the ability to zoom in and have audio follow. Stills give a great selection of formats and effects, and you can change and edit shots in camera. The only think I HATE about all the new lower-priced cameras is that you have to view and frame and focus through the LCD screen instead of a view finder. Some of the best pictures occur when the sun is, of course, behind you and on your subject.
Summary: This compact has full manual controls and takes great stills and movies. It's clearly designed for the more sophisticated photographer and would get 5 stars if it also offered raw files. But, it is still a fine camera for people wanting to expand their control beyond simple point and shoot.
Summary: Camera works as advertised, taking clear shots with lots of settings to choose from, and a great panorama sweep mode. However, the small cover that closes the battery/memory card housing does not lock properly. I have had to resort to pasting a small piece of electrical tape across it in order for it to not pop open during operation!
Summary: Purchased this camera for an upcoming vacation. Love all the different and advanced ways to take a photo. Have not used all features but anxious to try them. I liked the open close feature where the battery/card go in my HX5 better. The camera is a little heavier than the HX5 but a great upgrade to that model. Takes a little to get used to the battery popping up where you would hold camera, but flash is better than the older models.
Summary: The video quality on the camera is fantastic. A lot of great features. Still learning how to use them all, but so far I am very pleased with it. Also the zoom is fantastic. The only downfall I have found with this camera is the placement of the flash and also the EXTREME power of it! It tends to wash some pics out because it is SO bright. Overall, good camera.
Summary: Sony as per the brand the quality and system use is good. It has the lots of features like background blur, one click HD Recording. Prons: Good picture quality. Easy to transfer. supports SD Cards. Cons: Flash, it pops up on the left top, it makes the discomfort for the user who clicks first time, they will hold it with both hands. connector, it is in the bottom, and always you need to keep your camera in sleep position while transferring to your laptop.
Summary: If you can still find these get one. I only paid 230 for mine. They normally go for 330 or more! Just google it it. I bought mine brand new. I won't lie though the camera only sucks when it comes to zoom. But if you see what I call "live caption video recording, its amazing, even through the view finder of the camera! For price and money its worth the money!
