Great pocket point and shoot camera
Daniel Rich, Amazon
26 May 2014
Summary: This Sony pocket point and shoot camera is small enough to fit into any pocket, but packs a tremendous amount of features and modes. The quality of the images are outstanding, and it goes from wide angle to 16X optical zoom. It can be used full automatically, either using Superior Auto or Intelligent Auto. You can also select from a multitude of scene modes. Also note that it has a panoramic as well as a 3D mode.
Summary: I originally purchased this camera for my wife, but she rarely used it, opting instead for her Iphone (which does quire well, considering it's a phone). I already own a Sony DSLR and half-a-dozen lenses, a Panasonic ZS8, and a Canon SX40HS, so I am not hurting for a camera to shoot with, and they all have their individual purposes.
Summary: This camera is in my opinion a combination of my 2 favorite cameras from SONY’S HX line. & they are the HX7V and the HX9V. I own the silver color HX10V. with this model Sony switches to a universal charge port a micro-usb. This is great camera it is well balanced spec wise. The #1 thing you should stay away from is a small sensor with lots of mega pixels, which just causes NOISE. To put it simply I put this 2011 camera against Sony’s own 2012 HX20V/HX30V & 2013 HX50V.
Excerpt: This is a Great Camera! I've been using it for over a year now mostly for filming bands playing live. You can see the camera at work here at my youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/pokeadoubledecker/videos some of my videos are done using a Kodak Playsport but you should be able to tell the difference as the Sony has a better resolution and clearer zoom function.
Summary: I purchased this camera for my wife. She loves it. The camera is small enough to carry most of the time. Yet, the zoom is powerful enough to provide the ability to shoot a wide variety of setting. This camera gives outstanding indoors low light shots. Although, we own more expensive cameras the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX10V is used much more extensively.
Summary: Was expecting a great camera but got a little better than OK. This all could be from the shipping because when I got the camera the box was open and there was a little rattle in the camera. Anyway I have returned and going to go back to Panasonic Lumix.
Summary: It does everything I need it to do. I take photos of my collection, of family moments, my pets, and every now and then photos when I travel. The video is STUNNING. It's not camcorder quality but it's great for the average user. Plus it's at least semi-customizable. I'm pretty knowledgeable about cameras and between the specs and performance the price is fantastic.
