The camera is Good.....But

Mother Goose "WI Grandma", Amazon
27 May 2014
  • Summary: The Camera is good but arrived with a Europeon charger which will not work here in the US. It was also missing a memory card. We did some scrambling to find parts to adjust to make it work. ...not pleased.

Disappointing, but decent

meninamoca, Amazon
19 December 2011
  • Summary: When I first received my Cybershot, I was so excited because I had previously owned the same model before it had been stolen and knew that it took quality pictures. Now, don't get me wrong, the camera still took quality pictures, however the functionality of the camera was a little diminished (after all, it was used).

Great camera with some set backs

BOGY., Amazon
6 May 2010
  • Summary: This camera does take great pictures. These days the cameras are very easy to operate with all of the auto settings and advanced face detection and scene recognition - it's hard to mess up a shot. This camera is no exception and makes the user feel like a pro when taking pictures. However, here are some things to think about when buying this camera: 1) The controls are on the right rear side of the camera.

Sleek camera, but had to return...

James R. Wilson "Movieguy", Amazon
19 February 2010
  • Summary: You will not find a cooler looking and feeling camera anywhere, but alas, the following two issues were deal breakers for me and I opted to return the camera and by a Panasoci Lumic DMC-ZR1 instead. Sony issues: 1) NO ZOOM ABILITY in video mode. 2) Very soft photos - inconsistent photo quality. I really wanted to love this camera because it is just so cool looking and solid, but seeing soft blurry blotches on faces in my photos is just not acceptable.

So-So

Armando "Armando", Amazon
15 October 2009
  • Summary: The camera is pretty, but does have a bit of short comings. The camera feels it was created for casual to non-important photos. During low or indoor lighting there is a lot of noise in the image. It's auto focus feature also struggles a lot. On outside, bright, images you don't notice the noise as much until you start to zoom in into the image. The camera works relatively well in outdoor, open events and for the casual shot. I don't recommend it for indoor use as much.

blurry & grainy pictures

Dan D., Amazon
3 August 2009
  • Summary: This camera took blurry & grainy pictures indoors. compared to my old cannon S60 the quality is not good at all. All the rest is very good: The video is quality fantastic and the outdoors pictures are good. The interface and menus are easy to work with. I don't know if I got a lemon or if this is the standard quality. I returned this unit and will buy the cannon SD780.

Good value for the money, poor image stabilization

Alex Gossett, Amazon
26 June 2009
  • Summary: My only issue with this camera is Image Stabilization, it isn't as good as Canon's. I bought the camera for it's features, 12 megapixels and HD quality Video. Image Stabilization is a big issue for me, my hands shake. My existing camera, a Canon with IS, handled this issue very well. The Sony did not. When taking video it was very jittery, even with IS on. The Canon doesn't have that problem, so I can only assume it's more affective at dealing with the problem.
