Not my favorite Sony Cyber-shot by a long shot....

Summary: My favorite Sony Cyber-Shot cameras are: 1) (which a good friend owns); 2) (which I own). For the size and original price, as well as longevity, ease of use, and the great quality of photos, both these cameras are beyond excellent.
Summary: Came with a European adapter and not with a US power cord which would have only cost a few cents to include. The memory slot is for Sony memory card and is NOT SD like every other camera in the world. A big surprise when opened on Christmas morning.
Summary: I have had this camera for awhile now. It was purchased to mainly take pics of my kids, trips to the zoos, aquariums, snap shots and the like. I had to replace my previous 2002 Canon ?? camera because i dropped it and killed the LCD screen. I am not a pro by any sense of the word.
Summary: I purchase the Sony DSC W290 to replace a DSC w170 that I loved but needed repairs of over $100. This is my 7th Sony Cybershot camera. I am obviously a Sony Cybershot fan. This camera is a big disappointment. It does not through the lense view finder which I knew before I bought it but still want.
Summary: I owned a Sony Cybershot W50 and it took great photos. Many of my friends were surprised to find out I used a point-and-shoot for taking photos for my first child because the photos were very sharp and well focused (without using flash on the baby). Unfortunately, W50 died due to some abuse.
Summary: ...there were so many things I didn't like about it, I finally exchanged it for the Cybershot DSC-H20, which for me is, soooo much better! Back to the W290. On the positive side, I liked it's looks (???) and the burst feature is great. The features are also easy to use.
Summary: Camera is reporting that "This 'memory stick' may not record or play." It's also reporting, "Error formatting memory stick," even though the memory stick has already been formatted. Problem is happening with multiple memory sticks. Bummer. Perhaps this is a factory second camera?
Summary: I used to own a Sony DSC-p10, it's a 5 megapixel camera from around 2003. The camera was great, but finally gave up, mostly due to abuse. Since I had such good luck with my first Sony camera, I decided it would be great to get another Sony over the more popular Cannon's.
Got it four days ago...shipping it back on Monday.

Summary: At first I posted great reviews for this camera. I had taken some out door shots and video...viewing them at reduced size everything looked fantastic. Then I started taking indoor shots and editing my full-size images. Wow, what a huge let down. This camera isn't good value for the money.
Summary: I had a Canon A540 that ran on AA batteries, which I didn't like. However, until recently the photos on the Canon were very nice, colorful and crisp. Recently, the flash stopped working, so I went looking for another camera.
