Summary: I ordered this combo Dec. 29th and received it Jan 3rd. I've received an email from Focus Camera thanking me for the purchase and to let them know if anything was amiss. The gadget bag is about the perfect size for the camera and its essential accessories. I have not actually used the camera yet; I'll update this review as I gain experience. REVISION: (There IS a viewfinder focusing control; Instruction Manual parts ID item 23. Nowhere is this control explained).
Excerpt: Great all in one camera. Carl Zeiss lens is very sharp.24 to 1200 what more could you ask for an all in 1 lens. Down falls electronic zoom control is not all that precise, eye level finder very poor, for this price range. Despite those 2 down falls. It great all in one camera for taveling light. Macro is good, street photograph, action, and any task you put it to.
Pros: Easy to Use, Fast Shutter Speed, Good Battery Life, Good in Low Light, Great Resolution, Great Zoom, Large Clear LCD, Small / Compact

Summary: Have only had the camera for 2 weeks now and so far I am very happy with the product, The only thing I find missing is a more complete instruction manual showing in more detail on the operation of the camera. The instruction manual ( GB ) that came with the camera is very incomplete and hard to understand. If a more detailed manual is available from Sony I would like information on how to obtain it.
Sony DSC-HX300 20.4MP Digital Camera with 50x Optical Zoom

Summary: The camera is great. In-between a digital point and shoot and a upscale (and price) digital SLR camera. It has normal amount of user selectable features, and gives good results with the default automatic settings. We took it on an African safari and were very pleased with the results, especially being able to switch, almost instantly, from single images, to videos, and back again. I highly recommend it for a non-techie photographer.
This camera hooked me with its picture quality and terrific zoom, and I love them

Summary: This camera hooked me with its picture quality and terrific zoom, and I love them. Regrettably, the picture quality slows the shooting rate: I shan't be able to use it for photographing taekwondo belt tests as I had hoped. The other features, however, are good enough that I'm not giving it up! Also, its smaller size and lighter weight than my Pentax K-200 DSLR made it my preferred choice for dog walks and most other shooting.
Summary: The camera itself performs flawlessly. It's easy to hold, and once you understand the settings, it's easy to use. The only drawback I've witnessed so far is that when on the tripod and zoomed out to near and at full length, the subject in the viewer starts drifting down, especially when I adjust where I want the lens to point. It's annoying and I will have to develop a very sensitive touch to get the little problem resolved. Otherwise, it's a very good purchase.
Summary: I love this camera! I bought this cameral because my daughter-in-law has one and I was impressed with the quality of the photographs. I bought it just before my husband and I went on a trip to Montreal, Toronto and Niagara. The photos taken during this trip are amazing. We also got some great videos. I am so impressed. The only thing that keeps this review from being a full-fledged five stars has nothing to do with the camera itself.
