Summary: Have only had the camera for 2 weeks now and so far I am very happy with the product, The only thing I find missing is a more complete instruction manual showing in more detail on the operation of the camera. The instruction manual ( GB ) that came with the camera is very incomplete and hard to understand. If a more detailed manual is available from Sony I would like information on how to obtain it.

Summary: I bought this for my wife and it has been close to a year now. she loves it. its being used almost 3-4 times a week. I am now getting my parts and add ons for this camera. we love it. we have used it for birthday pictures to the random moment in out lives with the kids. loves.
Summary: I wish they'd allow pictures to be posted because the proof is in the pudding....or pictures in this case! I have had my Sony HX-300 for a year now and was thinking about buying the HX-400 with the 63x zoom. Just a week ago, we went for a walk and thought there was a red bird at the top of a tree on our route, but when I zoomed in, I saw it was a red-headed woodpecker. I got some great shots and could barely see him from where we were! The video is great!

Summary: The camera is great. In-between a digital point and shoot and a upscale (and price) digital SLR camera. It has normal amount of user selectable features, and gives good results with the default automatic settings. We took it on an African safari and were very pleased with the results, especially being able to switch, almost instantly, from single images, to videos, and back again. I highly recommend it for a non-techie photographer.
I immediately started using it and I found it much better simpler to use

Summary: I have a Nikkon D3200 and still have problems using it. Had a lesson on the features, but still have problems taking sharp pictures. Went to Europe and took the camera and two of my lenses, exterior flash and all the rest of the equipment needed. Used my camera bag which had to count as a carry-on, so it limited my luggage. In addition, it was very heavy to tote around. Then I saw this camera and read the reviews.
This camera hooked me with its picture quality and terrific zoom, and I love them

Summary: This camera hooked me with its picture quality and terrific zoom, and I love them. Regrettably, the picture quality slows the shooting rate: I shan't be able to use it for photographing taekwondo belt tests as I had hoped. The other features, however, are good enough that I'm not giving it up! Also, its smaller size and lighter weight than my Pentax K-200 DSLR made it my preferred choice for dog walks and most other shooting.
