Excerpt: Lucky it has not a LCD viewer. I can't operate with that. The through the lens viewr is oke by me. I use this camera with a Adchiever flash-light with different flash levels. Works great. Recently I noticed this camera regonises even the 128 MB MS by a MSAC-PC1 card adapter.
Excerpt: Very easy to use compare to other digital cameras, similar to SLR 35mm in manual mode. 5x optical zoom lens is big plus, large LCD display and PCMCIA slot type II is good to . I like picture quality even if it is only 1.5 mega pixels. Flash and hot shue for extra flash use with 5x zoom is excelent.
Excerpt: Great tool for photographers that like full control on what's happening. Maximum flexibility and versatility. Manual controls for anything. Problems: "Green sky" - cyan cast on overexposed parts of sky Manual focus not accurate on some cameras
Excerpt: Very controllable, reliable, professional's camera without the full professional's price tag. Optics decent, comfortable and logical design, PCMCIA is ideal for laptop owners (don't bother with the included adapter thing). Great battery life and time lapse capability is fabulous.
Excerpt: 1. Excellent creative control. 2. SLR viewfinder a great tool. 3. Large preview screen. 4. Built in flash useful. 5. Wide angle lens is biggest plus! Problems: 1. BARREL distortion is atrocious in 28-32mm lengths. 2. Magenta cast to pictures. 3. Card reader is terrible. Causes computer to crash.
Excerpt: Amazing features! If you want creative control, this camera is for you. The D700 uses PCMCIA media which is in my opinion better than any other type of media. This is because it allows use of ALL types of media with an adapter. CF/SM/MS/PCMCIA can be used.
Excerpt: If what you want is creative control over your camera, this is the one to get. along with the standard, Auto settings, there is Aperture and shutter priority modes and full manual control over shutter speed and fstop.
Excerpt: Used camera on a 3 week European trip. Took 600+ pictures. Image quality was sometimes a bit soft, but not always that way. However, the extra long 140mm telephoto lense sure helped with distant objects. Colors could be washed out under some situations, especially in low light.
