Summary: I did not buy this camera to take pictures underwater, not what it's best at. What it is best at, at least for me, is withstanding the rigorous activities I put it through. It is tiny, I wear it on a lanyard around my neck so it is always there. I kayak with it, paddleboard with it, hike mountains with it and so much more.
Summary: this camera has great quality for it's size and the fact alone that it's lens do not come out, and it is waterproof. the quality underwater is amazing, and it's cool to use. it's been through so much, and i even bought it a second time after the first one broke! the only problem i've ever had with the camera itself is that the latch which holds the battery and memory card secure often breaks, or won't snap back in, which restricts how often and where you can use the...
Summary: I've owned four point and shoot cameras over the past 10 years, and this one is by far the best one in terms of durability and night time picture quality. My previous Canons were pretty good until they stopped working after 2-3 years.
Summary: This camera is small, compact, and doesn't look impressive. However, I have taken amazing pictures with this little thing. Because if it's waterproof nature, and compact design, I was able to take it with me around the world and capture great memories. I took this little thing in many a pool, the pacific ocean, the Caribbean sea, and the waters around southern Thailand.
Summary: I was looking for a pocket camera that could take a little more abuse, this camera has far exceeded my expectations. It has survived countless days/weeks/months in an outer pocket of a backpack with keys and other metal objects with little damage. The camera is not unscratchable, but it is TOUGH (if i had put a screen protector on the LCD you would have no idea the camera had been bounced/dropped/kicked around in a pocket next to keys, even without it there are still...
Excerpt: I bought this for my girlfriend after her last camera's lcd screen broke when we went to the beach. It's not cheap at $300 but it's worth every penny. This ten megapixel camera takes clear photos on even the auto setting. I only notice some pixelation when I blow the photos up really big, but for facebook or even standard 8X10.5 prints the quality is very sharp. The reason I bought this over it's 12 megapixel brother was for the rugged features it has.
Excerpt: I love photography, and went trough a lot of cameras, but this one is my absolute favorite. looking at it's small compact very sleek exterior, you wouldn't guess all the capacities it has. If you have Sony Cyber Shot Camera DSC-TX5 you don't even need a computer to edit your pictures. you can crop, write on pictures, adjust colors, paint, rotate, re-size, take and divide videos and all these without even transferring your pictures to the computer.
Excerpt: Our first test of the reliability of this camera came the 2nd time we used it: picked up from the couch, it was sent crashing onto the hardwood floor. I was certain the camera had been destroyed. Nope. not a dent, not a difference in performance. Thankfully! it's a shockproof camera and I was so grateful for that feature. If you plan on taking any pictures in bad weather or crowded venues, you will love the feature. The second test of this camera came last week.
