Summary: I did not buy this camera to take pictures underwater, not what it's best at. What it is best at, at least for me, is withstanding the rigorous activities I put it through. It is tiny, I wear it on a lanyard around my neck so it is always there. I kayak with it, paddleboard with it, hike mountains with it and so much more.
Summary: this camera has great quality for it's size and the fact alone that it's lens do not come out, and it is waterproof. the quality underwater is amazing, and it's cool to use. it's been through so much, and i even bought it a second time after the first one broke! the only problem i've ever had with the camera itself is that the latch which holds the battery and memory card secure often breaks, or won't snap back in, which restricts how often and where you can use the...
Summary: I've owned four point and shoot cameras over the past 10 years, and this one is by far the best one in terms of durability and night time picture quality. My previous Canons were pretty good until they stopped working after 2-3 years.
Summary: This camera is small, compact, and doesn't look impressive. However, I have taken amazing pictures with this little thing. Because if it's waterproof nature, and compact design, I was able to take it with me around the world and capture great memories. I took this little thing in many a pool, the pacific ocean, the Caribbean sea, and the waters around southern Thailand.
Summary: I was looking for a pocket camera that could take a little more abuse, this camera has far exceeded my expectations. It has survived countless days/weeks/months in an outer pocket of a backpack with keys and other metal objects with little damage. The camera is not unscratchable, but it is TOUGH (if i had put a screen protector on the LCD you would have no idea the camera had been bounced/dropped/kicked around in a pocket next to keys, even without it there are still...
Summary: The use of a SD card is a great improvement for Sony; it gives the use the ability to download pictures to other media with out an adapter. The water proof works as expected. I have used it in the rain and canoeing / kayaking with no issues. It takes hits well as I keep it strapped to my wrist while paddling. The auto selection feature works great but can inhibit fast shots because it chooses a different type of shoot setting.
Summary: I've only had this camera for a month and already have some great photos of grandkids in action. I have found the camera touchscreen easy to use and the low-light photos come out great. I do plan to order a second battery as it seems the battery life is rather shorter than I expected or than I would like so we will plan to travel with a spare one on hand.
