The 10.2 megapixel camera also features Sony’s “Exmor R” CMOS sensor that is freeze proof down to 14 degrees Fahrenheit, shockproof up to about a 5-foot drop and dust proof.

Features

The Sony DSC-TX5 is a waterproof camera that can withstand underwater pressures of up to 10 feet of water for up to an hour, allowing users to take photos, including panoramic pictures, and 720p high definition videos of friends, family or pets underwater. The camera is also freeze proof down to 14 degrees Fahrenheit, allowing users to take pictures in the snow, and is durable enough to withstand an accidental drop from up to approximately 5 feet. Another feature on the Sony DSC-TX5 is the “Exmor R” sensor that supports 10 frame per second of continuous burst shooting for capturing action shots, and supports low-light performance for taking photos in dim light conditions. Other features on the camera includes the Intelligent Sweep Panorama™ feature, which combines separate captures, detects faces and subject motion and adjusts the width while stitching the images together for a natural looking panoramic photos; wide-angle 4x optical zoom Carl Zeiss® Vario Tessor® lens, three-inch Clear Photo LCD Plus™ (230,400 pixel) wide touch screen display, in-camera multi-shot Backlight Correction High Dynamic Range (HDR) which combines highlight and shadow detail of two separate captures into one optimized image; and HD movie recording (1280 x 720 at 30p). The camera also has a Self portrait timer that automatically takes the shot two seconds after one or two faces are detected, Smile Shutter™ technology which automatically capture smiles and iAUTO and Easy modes.
