Summary: First of all I'll preface this post by saying I'm a life long Sony customer. I've used their products for decades. Typically I always found them to be the highest quality, last forever and really enjoyed them. From the Walkman, to the Discman to Sony TVs, DVD players, Video cameras, and of course cameras. My last 3 Sony Cybershot cameras I've purchased have ALL had problems with them. 2 of them had the same exact problem and Sony did cover them under the 1 year warranty.
Summary: This camera is not that much good, I did not found that much good what I expected. Its picture quality is very bad. Even though it has good thing 16Mp and 16x optical zoom but picture quality is not good. Pictures are like you washed with water. The deal was excellent but quality is worse. I don't recommend anybody to spend money on such type of camera. If you will spent your money on this camera, think that you just wasting.
Summary: bought this for a sightseeing trip to NYC and was pretty disappointed. 90%+ of the pictures were dull and had a washed out look. camera took a long time to process the shot before allowing you to take another picture. moderate and low light autofocus is pretty poor. 720p videos turned out great. very powerful flash, almost too powerful for indoors ! i'll likely try the DSC-HX30 for my cruise next month.
Summary: The feature set for this camera is very good. My wife wanted to replace her 5 year old P&S camera to take pictures of our newborn baby and this camera was perfect. However, the low- and medium-light autofocus on this camera is very, very poor. She took a dozen or so shots of our baby and I don't think a single one was properly focused.
Summary: The zoom on it does a good job for a little camera but you get a lot of blurry pictures when anyone is moving. It does not have the anti blur sports setting that my previous cyber shot had. Over all disappointed.
Summary: The quality from this camera appears superb - I was sold on the advert with the 360 degree panorama, but the reality is a little different. The camera itself I found too small but the most irritating part is the pop up flash - for me this gets in the way of where I'd place the fingers on my left hand on the top of the housing; and also I think is likely to break over time.
