The camera is mostly great, but this model tends to forget the date

Summary: The camera is mostly great, but this model tends to forget the date, time, region, and language settings if you remove the battery. It held that information for the first month with no problems, then it could not retain that information between battery changes after the first month. I returned the first one for this problem, and now the new one is having the same problem. I'm keeping this one and just accepting that it has this memory issue.
Summary: The camera works great and produces good quality pictures, but from time to time (with increasing occurrence) the off button is just not working and the lenses will not go back to the off position. In order to make it work again, we have to remove the battery, and put it back - disappointing.
Summary: Got this in August. I like the compact size for carrying around in my pocket. However, the small size of the screen can be maddening with my male fingers. The photos are clear. I think the delay between pushing the shutter button and the actual picture taking is too long. The few avi's I've taken have been pixelated. Maybe I need more practice. This week the lens would not close. I'd power on the camera, the lens would extend, then the camera would turn off.
OK camera when the battery is fully and recently charged

Summary: My wife bought it. The camera works reasonably well when the battery is charged, she said. But the camera is not ready when she wants to use it, as the battery won't stay charged after charging it up and letting it sit for a while. I suggested that she charge it more frequently, even though she may not use it right away. She shouldn't have to do this, as the specs say she can take 200 shots on a charged battery.
Summary: I used credit from squaretrade to get this when my other camera died. This is a nice little camera, with two flaws. If you want to take widscreen (15:9) pictures, it will only take them at 12 megapixels and not 16. You have to take fullscreen photos at 16mp. The other thing, is the touchscreen.
