The camera is mostly great, but this model tends to forget the date

Summary: The camera is mostly great, but this model tends to forget the date, time, region, and language settings if you remove the battery. It held that information for the first month with no problems, then it could not retain that information between battery changes after the first month. I returned the first one for this problem, and now the new one is having the same problem. I'm keeping this one and just accepting that it has this memory issue.
Summary: I have a high-end Canon EOS. I bought this one to simply take with me outside for quick clicks. I ended up using this a lot more than the Canon. it is great outdoors and the flash does a good job indoors. Unlike Canons, you can charge the battery via the camera itself or via a dedicated charger. It also charges when connected to the PC. My only complaint is that I don't have spare USB cables.
Summary: I have the WX50 and bought this as another camera for webstore pics. Cant say enough about the quality of the pics and video......in such a small package. Smaller than my phone and I tote it around everywhere. I'd recommend the protection plan if you are hard on your stuff like me. There is no doubt I'll use it. Youtube videos look excellent and I'm just so impressed with where technology has progressed in such a short amount of time.
Summary: I like almost everything about this camera. Photos are very good, especially in low light with the correct setting. Like the stitch type photos (panorama), like the various modes. Lens is exceptional for small camera. CMOS is in some ways better than my slur that was over $1k. 2 things I do not like are 1) the lens cover sometimes only half closes 2) the touch screen button to display previous photos is where I naturally touch the camera when holding it to shoot a photo.
Summary: I've had this for about 9 months and it works but ease of use is a disappointment. Changing to a special scene choice is several screens and not logical in my opinion. There seem to be 2 main menus and I forget which takes me where. I don't profess to be tech gifted but it's only a camera after all. My SLR is easier to use. Also, the touch pad doesn't want to work without the stylus which makes things slower.
Summary: I chose this camera because it was pink. The picture quality is good for the specs, I have no complaints about that. But the camera sometimes freezes when I turn it on, and I have to remove and reinsert the battery in order to get it working again. The touch screen is not that sensitive, the menu is not particularly user-friendly, and the whole system seems to lag more than any other camera I've had. Perhaps I have a defective one?
Summary: The camera works great and produces good quality pictures, but from time to time (with increasing occurrence) the off button is just not working and the lenses will not go back to the off position. In order to make it work again, we have to remove the battery, and put it back - disappointing.
Summary: A great small, inexpensive, easy to use camera. Takes great pictures, much more control over focus than in previous models. I take a lot of micro pictures for jewelry illustrations and am very happy with the quality of closeups. Camera wants to use the flash sometimes when that's not the best idea , but it's easy enough to just turn that off. I've gotten some really nice shots in very bad lighting. Just a great overall camera in its class..
