Summary: It is a nice camera, with a good telephoto. It has a nice weight, but I was actually surprised with its size...it is really small. The bad part was that they sold it to me with no memory card... That is very unconfortable at this point...specially because I live in South America and it takes a lot of time, and expensive shipping...
Summary: The camera is fine, but the package of accessories contains several items that are not needed. I recommend buying the camera and then looking at what additional accessories are needed after receiving it.
Great camera... unless you want indoor close-ups of your kids

Summary: This camera took truly excellent pictures. I used it for 3 months & loved all of the outdoor shots or groups of people. However, I kept noticing that EVERY time I took a picture of my baby (which is why I bought & wanted a really great camear) there was a dark shadow in the bottom left corner of every image whenever I used the flash close-up. I tried all kinds of settings and tried taking photos of flat inanimate objects to see if that helped...
Summary: I really liked this camera when I first bought it. It takes good photos, has a great zoom and takes 1080i video. However, the more I used it the less I liked it. Every time I took an indoor photo with a flash, the picture would be washed out due to the intensity of the flash. To make matters worse, the camera does not have flash compensation to adjust the flash. That was a deal killer for me since I take a lot of indoor photos of my daughter.
Summary: In my search to replace my beloved broken Sony DSC-HX20V, I ordered this model. Its adorably small (significantly smaller than the HX20V), in fun colors and very reasonably priced. I love the built-in flash that doesn't pop-up or get in the way of holding it. It doesn't have as many features as my old Sony did but has all the ones I use and for the most part they work fine.
Summary: The item arrived with the charger with wrong sized end which made it impossible to charge and hence had to be returned for a replacement. This also came with the the same problem - charger with wrong sized end! Amazon reps were very good about this and this time they gave me 20$ to go and buy a new adapter. However I would have preferred not having to go out and get an attachment which should have come at least the second time around!
Summary: This is a super zoom with a relatively small image sensor. I knew going in that picture quality would not be the best and this is the case. Do not expect to enlarge any image this camera takes - it will not be pretty. For images that fill the frame AND are taken with good lighting the camera does a decent job. That will be its only purpose for me, zooming in on too distant architectural items during travel. I have other cameras to use for everything else.
Excerpt: I have tried SONY HX20V (and its predecessor HX9V), and this camera is an improvement over HX20V in that the i) Camera body is compacter ii) Flash doesn't pop up iii) Battery life is improved iv) Charging position doesn't require camera to lie on the lens or LCD but some old problems still persist and new ones have been added i) Video's (AVCHD) have lines in the last frame when played on Windows Media Player on Windows 7 (there is no clean ending of the movie).
Pros: Easy to Use, Good Battery Life, Great Resolution, Great Zoom, Large Clear LCD, Small / Compact
