Lot's of noise and bad low light even for a point and shoot... Terrible build quality

Summary: First of all, if you are looking at this camera today, it is of no use. There are better camera's for less money because of the huge advancement in tech over the past few years. I had this camera for well over 2 years, and it recently died completely after a year of hassle with the buttons. When I bought it, it was comparable to other compact camera's in the 300 dollar range. It has the shortest life of any point and shoot I have ever owned.
Summary: I've owned a Sony Cyber-shot 3.3 mega-pixel camera since 2000. This camera took very sharp and great photos even with a low 3.3 mega-pixel resolution. I got tired of lugging this bulky camera around when I travelled so I opted for a smaller camera and since I was so happy with the Sony Cyber-shot with the Carl Zeiss lens, I stuck with the brand and bought the DSC-W350 expecting the same quality. Boy was I DISAPPOINTED!
Excerpt: This camera is definitely a good looking, standard-sized, standard fare Sony style camera. It's plenty responsive to commands which is a plus, and the battery life is best described as "average". The optical zoom is supplemented by a useless digital zoom feature, which is the equivalent of blowing the picture up using photoshop or other photo-editing software. The main reason I don't like this camera or Sony cameras in general is because of the memory format they use.
Summary: I have been taking pictures a long time and spent a lot of time researching this purchase. I ended up deciding on this Sony Cybershot. I have to say that after a few months of use, I am really disappointed. This thing is total crap in low light situations. I bought this camera right before Christmas and my pictures were out of focus and unusable. And this was in the daytime with decent lighting.
Summary: Pro - picture quality is very good for most outdoor shots. I've been happy with the color and sharpness of these shots. Cons - video quality is quite grainy. Also, the camera on automatic continually tries to refocus when you are shooting a moving scene so the result is a in-focus/out-of-focus tug-of-war. I haven't been able to figure out how to keep the focus on infinity in video mode.
Summary: I bought this camera to use as an everyday camera to take pictures of my baby and family. It blurrs almost every picture. I have tried all the settings, and everything I can think of to improve the picture quality. I am so dissapointed in this camera and I regret buying it. It is takes pictures slowly, and if you are not PERFECTLY still it blurrs them. I am also not impressed with the picture quality on the rare occasion that it doesnt take a blurred picture.
Summary: This is a very good camera and I'm very satisfied with the pictures it takes, I like that it's tiny and can take it everywhere with me. But the connectivity for this camera is very bad: - it doesn't use a mini-usb or a micro-usb port, instead you have to carry around this bulky cable http://www.amazon.com/ABC-Products%C2%AE-Original-connection-Cyber-Shot/dp/B003X9U6OK/ref=sr_1_19?
Looks great on paper, sometime takes great pictures

Summary: We researched this camera pretty well, and it seemed like a good fit for what we wanted, and it does sometimes take great pictures. But usually it misses the shot, taking too long to decide what mode to use and often seems like it can't focus even on well lit slow moving objects. The battery will not last for even an event of a couple of hours and replacements are pretty pricey. I am thinking about contacting customer service at Sony to complain about this camera.
Summary: My husband bought me this camera for my birthday. After almost 3 months of feeling like I would "get used to it" or "maybe if I read the instruction manual one more time.." I took it back (thanks to Costco's liberal return policy). The two main reasons I didn't like it were: the shutter speed was really slow and right after you take a picture, it only shows it on the screen for like 2 seconds, not enough time to see if you got a good picture.
