Summary: Even though I'm really happy with this cam, $500-600 is still high for this type of quality. If you find a new one for $200-300, I highly recommend that you buy it. There's nothing I dislike, except for the fact that you need a tripod for shooting in low lighting.
Summary: The overall quality of the Sony Cybershot DSCW 300 13.6MP looks very good, but unfortunately I can't actually try the camera because Amazon sent me a camera with a battery charger that can't be used in the United States.
Summary: I bought a DSC-W300 from Amazon in late April 2009, shortly before departing on an extended trip to China. I already had a 2001-vintage Sony digital camera that I'd enjoyed very much through the years, not to mention a Sony camcorder (Guess I'm partial to Sony).
Summary: I purchased this camera around the mother's day. I haven't had a lot of experience with it yet. This camera is very easy to use. I took some pictures of the flowers, the color is very real. I tried to shot a short video, the quality is better than what I got from the mini-DV.
Sony Cybershot 13.6 Megapixels Won't Disappoint You
6 January 2009
Summary: I bought the new Sony Cybershot for my husband for Christmas 2008. He had the older model of the same camera, but had many complaints. Fortunately, it seems Sony has listened to what consumers disliked about its previous versions and has corrected everything about it.
Summary: This is a really nice camera. It's really compact, takes good pictures, and the titanium coating makes it really durable. The only thing I could add to the positive sentiments already expressed on this page is that I have dropped my camera, and it has come away from the incident unscathed.
Summary: I have finally had this camera longer than a week and feel I can make a solid assessment of how I feel now. To put it lightly, I have been less than impressed with Sony P&S cameras over the last say 3-4 generations.
