Summary: biggest peice of junk, 1 repair after 8 months, second repair being decided to determine if it is worthwhile spending money ,contemplating scrapping sony products from any of my searches in future. was bought on 1st august 2009.
Summary: I have had Sony cameras for years. The last 2 have had noticeably poorer build quality and have lasted less than 1 year. The controls don't seem as fluid and the sense of beautiful build quality seems long gone in this range. This one was consistently unreliable, lens sticking problems and not a pleasure to use. I will not buy another Sony.
Summary: I received a damaged one - I recived the delivery at 9:50 on Saturday Monday 19th July, opened the package at 10am, read and follow the instrauctions: trying to inset the wraist strap, and found with shock that there is no bar in the slot - with another close look, I found it's simply broken. Actually I also noitced that there is no transparent memberane either that should have covered the LCD.
Summary: The spec on this camera is fantastic - however the quality is very poor. Outdoor full light shots are fine and come out well. Indoor and night shots are all grainy and poor quality at every setting. Tried two of these as thought the first was faulty and even a sony shop agreed the picture quality was poor. Opted in the end for the older W300 which has a better sensor and the quality is fantastic.
