Summary: Very disappointed with this camera that replaced my Canon PowerShot (which was much better in every way except the wide screen). The Cyber-shot battery that came with this new camera was faulty. I tried to get a replacement from Sony and four camera stores -- no one had a battery in stock and they were nearly $90 anyway, so I have persisted with the original battery that only gives me about 30 photos before it needs recharging for 4 hours.
Pros: Looks good and has a big view screen
Cons: Battery hopeless and expensive to replace, zoom not good, battery compartment in bad position, picture quality so-so, image download cumbersome.
Summary: This camera is not worth the money. It's just a simpleton piece of rubbish, whilst it may be ok for beginners, it's of no other real use to anyone.
Pros: Slim, good size, nice big clear LCD display
Cons: Buttons are impossible to press, high grain and distortion in photos, battery life is awful, lens jump around loosely, breaks very easily, image transferral difficult, no force flash, bad auto focus,
