Summary: I thought it would be like the camera I recently lost (stolen, actually) which I guess was the W170 with more options , such as changing of colorre was taken. Also, the ad said "red" which was my preferred color and this one is black.
Summary: WHY CAN'T I GIVE NEGATIVE STARS? DON'T BUY THIS OR ANY OTHER SONY CAMERA!!!!! Sony makes crap cameras and their support will accuse you of breaking it. Purchase from a respectable camera maker like Canon, Nikon, or Fuji. I bought this for snorkeling and it corrupted my memory card on the first trip.
Summary: I purchased this product from an independent dealer through Amazon. It was advertised as used but in perfect working order. This product was received with the lens extended, i.e. in the "on" position. This in spite of the fact that there was no battery in it.
Summary: I had a much earlier Sony cyber-shot model that took great pictures, but after years of use it started to have battery problems. We bought this as a replacement... what a rip-off! This camera takes terrible pictures! They are always blurry and the color is bad!
Sony has replaced quality with lower price, smaller size

Summary: Drat! I should have paid more attention to the negative reviews! I own a DSC-W100 that takes very sharp photos. However, it is starting to act up, so I bought a DSC-W150 for a trip to Africa, mostly because of its longer zoom range (30-150 mm equivalent instead of 38-114 mm equivalent).
Summary: The Sony DSC-W150 is a point and shoot digital camera with a lot of features and mostly takes good pictures. It has a great zoom function and it is easy to get mostly good shots, especially in good lighting.
Summary: Let me first say that I have taken many photography classes. I have owned many, many cameras. Photography is my hobby. I bought this camera because I thought it was a good deal for an 8.1 megapixel camera.
Summary: Got the camera on Christmas day 2008. It stopped working on Christmas day 2009. Warranty period is 1 year - repair cost is $121 plus shipping. This camera was not dropped or misused. Most of the pictures taken by the camera were shot in my house of products I sell.
Summary: I feel completely cheated by this camera, and would at any price. The lost opportunity that so many horrible Easter photos represents truly rankles. I purchased this at COSTCO before Christmas because it was on sale.
