Totally loving it!

Excerpt: I got this camera for Christmas this past year, and I'm totally loving it! Wasn't sure if I'd like a completely touchscreen camera to take my pictures, but I've had no problems with it so far! I love the fact that the view screen is so huge, the zoom is amazing, and the photos it takes is just quality! Sometimes you have to push the screen twice for it to select something, but that's the only thing wrong I see with it.
Excerpt: I was given the Sony Cybershot T500 Digital camera as a christmas present from my parents. I must say that I have enjoyed using this camera and have not had any problems with it. The look of the camera is very unique and stylish looking. It is very easy to use and produce very nice pictures.
Excerpt: My daughter got me this camera last year for Christmas, and I wasn't at all sure that I wanted a digital camera. I had a nice camera that still used film. I knew how to use that one and wasn't very sure that I could master something so technical. I was wrong!! It is actually pretty easy to use. It takes excellent pictures. My kids showed me how to download the pictures and even printed them for me. It was really pretty easy. I don't know what I was so afraid of.
Excerpt: The only reason I bought the DSCT500 Sony Cyber Shot was because my niece wanted to talk to her friends over the internet through camera. I thought that maybe I could find something that would allow her to do so without causing me to lose tons of money. The thing that I noticed about the DSCT500 Sony Cyber Shot was the thing that made me buy it in the first place. So far everything is going well and we don’t have any complaints.
Summary: This camera produces great quality pictures and is fairly simple to use unfortunatly what could/should be it's best feature the touch screen interface is spectacularly clunky and annoyingly slow with a truly naf menu system. Very dissapointing from Sony and anyone used to the slick iPhone will be driven to distraction. So a potentialy great product but badly flawed.
Excellent for videos - only average for photographs

Summary: I bought this camera mainly to use for filming 720p HD videos. I chose this over other 'still-camera-with-HD-mode' offerings from Panasonic, Canon, Samsung etc for many reasons. Firstly the video quality is truly impressive for such a diminutive pocket-sized thing. The highest quality 720p setting movies look great on my 32" HD ready TV. Even indoors and in low light the camera performs well, with some expected noise/grain but acceptable to me.
Summary: I bought a red old version of this camera about 9 months ago, it was a an excellent version. I bought this newer model as replacemen for my older version that was snatched by a thief in Mexico. The old version though have two minor faults: 1.Due to constant closing and opening of the lens cover, the red colour sort of rubbed off. 2. The camera mode is also difficult to find. This version has amazingly solved those two problems, they must have realised the faults.
