Satisfied with the product

John T. Simpson, Amazon
5 December 2012
  • Summary: This item was as advertised. It didn't com with any cables or a memory card, but I already had a cable for it, so that was OK. I did have to separately buy a memory card.

Sony DSC-T200 Ultra Compact Camera

OnTheWeb "ontheweb", Amazon
31 March 2008
  • Summary: I went to buy a Casio EX-V8 to find a compact camera with decent video and decent pictures that had more than a 3X zoom. Prices dropped a lot on the previously-unaffordable DSC-T200 so I played with it at the store. Ended up buying it. The touchscreen takes a little getting used to. Where's the record button? How do I switch to photos? Where are the settings? It takes a little mindset change and practice to get up to speed.

Great Camera few misses here and there

Scarlett Shao, Amazon
27 March 2008
  • Summary: Not bad overall. The camera is very sleek and physically its very easy on the eyes, especially with the 3.5 inch screen. A few things, you can't just use any stylus it won't work well at all. The battery life is very short that's very unfortunate also another thing if you do want the battery to last just a little bit longer, make sure the lcd is not on bright. The picture quality isn't too bad, but there are so many different settings that it's very easy to get confused.

Awesome little camera - - if used properly

John S. Bourman "cameramantwo", Amazon
15 February 2008
  • Summary: I own a Sony R-1 which is a SLR type camera - a bit big but excellent image quality. The Sony T-200 is considerably smaller and more convenient to carry around. Do not expect a mini-compact to compare with a D-SLR type camera - they don't regardless of pixel count. To get the best out of the T200, use the "Program" (P) mode and set the ISO to 100. Do not use "Vivid" or other in-camera settings (do your adjustments in software). Use Auto only in daylight settings.

Good product - for a price

Joe Gijanto "Joe", Amazon
13 February 2008
  • Summary: The first thing you'll notice about this camera is its size - definitely the smallest digital camera I've ever seen. At the same time, the LCD-touchscreen on the back is quite large. The memory cards I ordered didn't fit, SONY has a proprietary micro memory card that you'll need to order separately (and the 32mb internal memory won't get you very far). The cards aren't too overpriced, but I didn't know that going into it.
