Summary: We were hiking the Great Wall of China with this camera and it quit working on the drive back to the hotel. It left us high and dry for the rest of the trip. After sending it to Sony's repair contractor, I was told it had water damage and would not be repaired as it was no longer under warranty.
Summary: Classic story. Did the research. Picked this camera. Brought it for anniversary trip to Hawaii. Five days in, I get a memory stick error. Say goodbye to pictures for the trip. This was when I did a google search for "sony cybershot memory stick problem" and came up with tons of hits, including...
Summary: Even though I decided to not be a sheep by getting the TZ10 and go for the Sony this was a very bad move. Like so many before have said the picture quality is poor, all mushy if you zoom in. However the worst of it was I bought this for it's alleged good low light performance.
Loads of features but bad pics and unreliable don't buy

Summary: Bought this in April as a 'do it all' compact. Smaller than carrying around my DSLR and hopefully better quality pics than my 3+yr old Canon compacts. And with the benefit of HD movies I wouldn't have to buy another device. It was a close run with the Lumix TZ10, but the full HD won it for me.
