Summary: Camera is fine for the money but it consumes the battery it almost no time. We have to keep the battery out of the camera until its time to take the pictures and then remove it quickly if it is going to be more than 30 min before the next pics or the battery will be dead!
Summary: Don't make the mistake of buying this camera used like I did. For about two months it worked fine. The picture quality was great, the lens worked fine, the zoom was good, everything was fine and dandy. Then one day I turned on the camera and the lens wouldn't focus. I was afraid to mess with it in case I made it worse, I tried a few things to fix it and one thing did. The internet said to hold the "menu" button down while turning it on and it worked!
Summary: This is my third digital camera going back to 2001. I have only had my DSC H70 about 3 weeks and I will eventually get used to it, I'm sure. The camera feels nice and has most controls at user-friendly locations, and takes good pictures at basic auto settings. The biggest problem is that it has a minimally helpful owner's manual, little more than a Quick-Start guide, and then a myriad amount of on-screen potential directions which lack focus or explanations.
Summary: Just like the title of my review says, this camera is just OK. If you are looking for an OK camera to give to your kid as a gift or this is going to be your first ever camera purchase and you want something simple and relatively inexpensive, then this one will do. Otherwise, look elsewhere. We were looking to upgrade from our 6 or 7-year old Sony and this camera turned out to be not an upgrade at all.
Summary: Purchased 14 July 2011 (to replace a Canon SX30IS that I sold after a few months of very unsatisfied use). Though I am definitely only a hobbyist, I am very experienced with photography, film and digital. Now-a-days, most of my photos are taken while hiking/Geocaching. I like the "In Camera" guide, it goes wherever the camera goes. Now, when out on a hike and I want to learn about a function... I can!!!
Conclusion: This model is so very sleek and small it easily fits in your palm and has an attractive look. The LCD touch screen is sensitive and needs to be handled carefully. Else it's a great camera with advanced features and users delight. The results from the camera are amazing.
Conclusion: I own a DSC T-70 which i had purchased around 2 years back.It was my first digital camera purchase. i had gone with an intention of buying canon but the croma sales rep convinced me by telling the features which were not available in other digital camera and I was thoroughly convinced into buying a Sony. The picture quality is superb and the features are unmatched. My only issue is recently my charger is not working and the cost of buying a charger is too high.
Summary: My previous camera was the Ricoh R10, but i decided to get this camera for a holiday trip. When going through the settings, I found considerably less settings than on my previous camera (for example, I couldn't find a black and white picture mode). Another flaw with it is the inability to film HD clips for longer than 25 minutes. The camera seems to be aimed for night (social) life more than creativity.
