Summary: Camera is fine for the money but it consumes the battery it almost no time. We have to keep the battery out of the camera until its time to take the pictures and then remove it quickly if it is going to be more than 30 min before the next pics or the battery will be dead!
Summary: Sony usually make good electronics but this is their 2nd camera that I'm disappointed with. This one has slow processor. It takes few seconds for it to process the picture taken. I know this is an inexpensive camera but that is yesterday's technology. recently I went on a walking tour where you pretty much have to take quick snap shots and move on. This camera couldn't keep up. It's ok if you have all day to take photos. This is not a camera to snap pictures quick.
Summary: Don't make the mistake of buying this camera used like I did. For about two months it worked fine. The picture quality was great, the lens worked fine, the zoom was good, everything was fine and dandy. Then one day I turned on the camera and the lens wouldn't focus. I was afraid to mess with it in case I made it worse, I tried a few things to fix it and one thing did. The internet said to hold the "menu" button down while turning it on and it worked!
Summary: This is my third digital camera going back to 2001. I have only had my DSC H70 about 3 weeks and I will eventually get used to it, I'm sure. The camera feels nice and has most controls at user-friendly locations, and takes good pictures at basic auto settings. The biggest problem is that it has a minimally helpful owner's manual, little more than a Quick-Start guide, and then a myriad amount of on-screen potential directions which lack focus or explanations.
Summary: This is an ok camera for the price, but you could probably do better. You get a lot of megapixels and zoom for the price, but I don't think the camera is great at auto focus. I used to have an Olympus that cost about the same amount but had much better focus, especially for macro photos. I have been disappointed in the macro setting on the Sony.
Summary: Just like the title of my review says, this camera is just OK. If you are looking for an OK camera to give to your kid as a gift or this is going to be your first ever camera purchase and you want something simple and relatively inexpensive, then this one will do. Otherwise, look elsewhere. We were looking to upgrade from our 6 or 7-year old Sony and this camera turned out to be not an upgrade at all.
Summary: I decided to upgrade my sony cybershot to this 110x optical zoom...it isn't a noticeable upgrade, except you can zoom more, the quality of the pics is more or less the same as my last camera...but it does take great shots, sometimes it takes some time for the snapshot to be taken as it's a bit delayed and when I load my pics on my computer from my camera, somehow the videos don't transfer, and I don't know why and how to fix this problem which I didn't have with my last cam.
Summary: I bought this camera mainly to replace a point and shoot camera that I somehow lost, and I tested this product out at the New York Comic Con 2011. The convention is a perfect place to test the camera because the event has a lot of people (live subjects), products on display (still life), and big banners (scenery). I use only the intelligent Auto setting for all my shots. The camera lens is fantastic.
