Summary: I have had this camera for nearly a year now and am not happy at all. When I purchased it I went on the reviews, back then, they were all basically good. If I knew what I know now, I would never have purchased this camera. I can take 4 pictures on auto setting in a row and only 1 will come out decent. How can that even happen? Nothing changed? The shutter speed is horrible. There is a long lag time between shots.
Summary: I bought this camera before my son could walk. Other than it was really slow to take the next picture it was just okay. Now I have a two yr old and he is constantly running and EVERY photo is blurry. If you try to use the "action" mode then the flash doesn't work- so don't even bother trying to take an indoor photo. I spend way too much money on it considering I miss all the good moments because it takes too long to take the next photo and ANY action photo is blurry.
Summary: WE PURCHASED THIS CAMERA AND IT HAD PROBLEMS THE FIRST TIME WE USED IT. SENT IT IN FOR SERVICE, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY, WE HAD TO PAY FOR SHIPPING. THE CAMERA WAS RETURNED TO US , CLAIMING IT HAD BEEN REPAIRED WHICH IT HAD NOT. AGAIN WE SENT IT IN WITH PICTURES SHOWING THE PROBLEM, AGAIN SONY CLAIMS THERE IS NO PROBLEM WITH THE CAMERA, IT MUST BE US NOT HOLDING THE CAMERA STEADY.
Summary: Really wanted this camera to be as brilliant as it's described but after using it for nearly a month it just wasn't the case. Really fell in love with the panoramic shot feature which originally clinched the purchase beyond all the other high tech aspects of this camera. But the results were mixed and in the end I returned the purchase to Amazon (Thank you Amazon for an excellent return policy!).

Summary: I received the "Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-H70" without: user's guide, manuals, battery charger, data cable, etc... **What's in the Box: digital camera and baterry. Only! So... I'm very disappointed!
Horrible photos in incandescent or bright lighting!

Summary: I had an old dinosaur of a Sony that took 1280 by 640 photos, max quality. It weighed a ton and was a solid 1/2 cubic foot block of dead weight (or so it seemed). So it was HIGH time to upgrade. So seeing the wonderful reviews on this camera, and being happy with my previous one in spite of it being outdated, I happily ordered this one! Boy, what a PAIN this one was.
Summary: The camera takes ok pictures when the conditions are optimal. Even when trying to adjust manually the settings, performance still suffers. The shutter is very slow, too slow for practical use. The LCD display is of poor quality. Feels cheaply made. Zoom noise is loud when shooting video. Video quality grainy. This camera would be a good starter camera for a 5 year old child. Sony really went cheap on the manufacturing of this camera.
Summary: I bought this 18 months ago. The picture quality is awful in auto mode, blurred and not sharp. In manual mode it is better but needs resetting for the smallest change in light. My 8 year old canon ixus is better. Don't buy.
