Summary: After returning a Canon Sure-Shot I received, and did not like at all, I did a lot of searching reviews before deciding on the H50. Even then I still wasnt sure it would be the camera for me. I have to say that so far I have been more than satisfied with the ease of use and quality of this camera.
Summary: I couldn't be more pleased with this camera. It takes absolutely beautiful pictures with very little effort on my part. I did a lot of research before buying, and I seriously could not have made a better choice! I've been using it for about a year now, and here are my observations...
Summary: I'm been using this camera for 6 months, and I really likes the quality of pictures taken. When I use the full zoom the clarity on the LCD screen and the capability to move it in different angles is very useful above all in light conditions.
Summary: Overall, it does what it says. I looked at all the digital review sites and found that this was great value at the price band I was looking at. I'd used an older Sony Cybershot at work so I knew roughly what to expect which was excellent photos !!!
Excellent choice for amateurs who want to act like pros

Summary: I certainly fit the category of an amateur photographer trying to act more pro like and this camera feels great. I am a Sony loyalist though I did do some research on Nikon before buying this camera (I had earlier bought a Sony Cybershot in which I was very disappointed).
Summary: I was more of a photography buff when I was younger, but never a professional. For my new camera I was looking for a camera that would be quick and easy most of the time, but allow me to take control of more of the functions when I wanted to.
Summary: I searched for several months when I decided to go a step-up from my Canon point-and-shoot. I liked the idea of a digital SLR, except for the fact that I couldn't find one that also recorded sound and video.
Summary: I'm really an amatuer at photography, but I do like to take pictures as a hobby. I was using a Nikon Coolpix 8200. It was good for family pictures of days at the park, but I really needed something that I could get a good zoom with and detail. I shopped for a long time and settled on the H50.
Summary: I used to have an old pocket sized Sony Cybershot with 3X Zoom. I wanted a camera with much better zoom and shutter speed. After much research, I decided on the Sony Cybershot DSCH50. I love the fast shutter speed and the 15x zoom.
