The camera’s Carl Zeiss® Vario-Tessar® lens consists of 13 elements in 8 groups (including 1ED glass element and 4aspheric elements). The camera has a built-in microphone and speaker, a 0.2” 201k FLC(Ferroelectric Liquid Crystal) EVF viewfinder, 31 - 465 mm (35 mm equivalent) focusing distance, F2.7-F8 aperture range, and 0-2.0x (Precision) digital zoom. The camera also has Face Detection, 5.2 - 78 mm focusing length, 9 Area Multi-Point AF / Monitoring AF / Flexible Spot AF focus mode and up to ISO3200 sensitivity. It also has macro mode, 15 x optical zoom, up to 1/4 - 1/4,000 shutter speed, Smart Zoom® Technology, and supports Memory Stick PRO™ Media. The camera measures 116.1mm x 81.4mm x 86.0mm and weighs 547 g.

Features

The Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-H50 features Smile Shutter™ Technology that captures a smile the moment it happens. Users can also select subject priority and indicate the degree of Smile Detection Sensitivity. The camera also features Face Detection Technology that detects up to eight individual faces and controls flash, focus, exposure, and white balance to deliver accurate, natural skin tones with reduced red-eye. Other features on this camera are Double Anti-blur Solution which is the combination of Optical SteadyShot™ image stabilization and High ISO sensitivity (up to 3200) that compensate for shaky hands, minimizes blur and allow flash free shooting to preserve the mood; Intelligent Scene Recognition that automatically detects eight different types of scenes (Backlight, Backlight Portrait, Twilight, Twilight Portrait, Twilight using a tripod… and now portrait, macro, and landscape) and then selects the most appropriate camera setting; In Camera Retouch that allows users to do in-camera editing like Trimming, Red Eye Correction, Soft Focus, Partial Color, Fisheye Lens, Cross Filter, Retro, Radial Blur, Unsharp Masking, and Smile function; as well as Image Management that allows users to organize photos in the camera memory so that they can select and view desired photos using event view, calendar view, and favorites. The camera also features Share HD-Quality Images that allows users to view photos in high definition on a Sony® BRAVIA® or similar HDTV using the optional component cable (VMC-MHC1) or optional Cyber-shot Station® cradle (CSS-HD2) as well as the Picture Motion Browser PC software to transfer, manage, archive and share images.
