Excerpt: HX400V is the fourth Sony bridge camera I have bought. I like the SONY look and reputation. (I also have the Sony a77M2). Great zoom lens and many presets, which you can really get into, or just make a couple of settings and shoot away. Great camera.
Excerpt: I bought a brand new Sony H400 ( NOT the HX400) in March 2015. (It was to supplement my excellent Sony HX100v). In the year that I've owned the Sony H400 I have had plenty of time to get to know the camera - the good and not so good aspects (I don't want to say "BAD" as on the whole I've found the...
Summary: I have always liked Sony cameras and have purchased five through the years at Walmart. I've never had a "bad" one, but they just keep getting better. The lens is fantastic and 63x zoom is beyond great.
Summary: The premium bundle is NOT premium...just extras. As described by other buyers, the bag is not high quality and barely large enough for the camera. I did not receive my additional flash drive and the tripod was not as pictured; it was a 10 inch flexible tripod.
Summary: DO NOT purchase this camera or any DSC-HX line of camera that uses the same stabilizer. I have owned the DSC HX-300 and The HX400. They both after approximately 4 months got a stabilizer error message (E:62:10).
Excerpt: Lag/Shutter delay. Not convenient mechanisim to change aperture, shutter speed and white balance. The DSCH-300 is a much better camera and easier to minipulate the dials. Lens and color are NOT good. Never a clear, crisp colorful photo. Don't waste your money, even if it is a good deal.
