Summary: Pictures from this camera are very good. It took a while to become accustomed to taking pictures with it - it was quite a bit different from my original Sony camera (unfortunately, no longer available, of course). The one thing I did not like at all was that this camera took regular AA batteries - we were having to change batteries twice a day on a trip West last summer. I was not expecting this inconvenience and additional cost to owning this camera.
Summary: The Sony Cybershot H200 is a nice little camera that takes very nice photos, but its slow response and processing times are maddening! If you need to get a quick pic of a once-in-a-lifetime moment, don't use this camera--you'll still be waiting for it to come on!
Summary: It struggles to focus and while focusing it is pretty loud. If you finally get it in focus the pictures are MUCH better than the Nikon l820. The time between pics and shutter lag is prehistoric. I think it will be good for my daughter though for outside pictures. As far as video it has to be the worst so far. It constantly wants to keep re focusing and the LOUD focus noise will pretty much ruin any video. Bought this for pictures so I think we will be ok. Update.
Excerpt: Zoom is more than the camera can handle with regards quality and clarity at full zoom. The video is only average as well and microphone is tinny. Will probably be returning this unfortunately. Have a Hi-8 camcorder that has given me great performance for 10 years, this led me to this camera. However quality is not the same.
Summary: I would give this camera 3.5 stars if it were a choice. I have to say right off the bat that the Zoom (26x) on this camera is awesome for this price range and the 20mp as well. I love taking photographs and have 5 different cameras to "play" with but am not a pro by any means. It has no memory card so if you buys this, pick up a class 10 SDHC card(I had a 16GB already). It will only take 5 high quality picts without a memory card!
