I will stay away from this product (sony cyber-shot)
8 April 2013
Summary: I don't have much to say a bout this product. it may be difference if I have bought the new one, but so far I have no luck from the last 2 used Sony Cyber-shot, Mechanicly they are brook down too easy.
Summary: As far as a used camera, this was in almost perfect condition. It has a great lens and takes very good macro pic's. So far it has been a gem. I am still learnig the features and the manual is a little confusing but I am getting through it.
Summary: Do you have a Sony Cybershot DSC-H2 camera? Did your shutter button just POP OFF? Are you mad that your $400 Cybershot is now useless due to their design flaw? Well jump on in! We're gonna do something about it.
Summary: All Sony DSC cameras are great SLR type style. They are ergonomic in design, therefore easier to hold than the newer flat cameras. They take great close-ups, and with filters, like polarization, vista shots can be stunning. The video is great, because you can zoom during a shot. Though it has a manual focus, it is somewhat complicated. I would prefer a focus on the lens, but digital SLRs are out of my range.
Summary: This camera has many features for an expert photographer, but is also very easy for a novice to operate, using the automatic setting. It takes great photos and has an excellent zoom. The ISO setting works great for low light and action shots, especially if you are a sports fan. I also like the fact that it can use 2 regular AA batteries or rechargables if you prefer. The only negative would be if you want a camera small enough to fit into a purse or pocket.
Summary: I liked the camera until one day I heard a "ping" and found that the shutter button had popped off while it was sitting on a counter. I had only had it about 18 months and had paid over $400 for it. I am so angry at Sony that I will never buy another of their products. They KNOW it is their design flaw and do not stand behind their products. They wanted $181 to repair it. People who have had theirs repaired reported the next button also fell off. I will buy Canon.
Cons: Defective merchandise that makes the camera useless. Company that doesn't care about its customers.
Summary: Do yourself a favor and do not purchase a Sony Cybershot DSC-H2 camera. The shutter button is designed poorly and will fail. Ours has broken 3 times in the last 18 months of casual use. Twice it popped off when nobody was using it! Researching the internet I found many people with similar stories. Sony obviously knows this camera has a problem but in my experience will not resolve this issue. I would suggest passing this camera up and looking elsewhere.
Pros: Fairly fast start up, shutter response, and takes AA batteries.
Cons: Shutter button breaks easily, customer service
