The Sony CyberShot takes great photos from a moving bus.

Excerpt: I have an early version of the Sony CyberShot DSC cameras. Mine is an H1; I believe there are at least ten versions of this camera now. My H1, which was purchased in January 2006, still takes wonderful photos. I get great short video clips as well as wonderful stills. I have some fantastic video footage of an active whale watch, and impressive footage of waterfalls, to name just a few of my triumphs.
Sony H1 Camera: Great image quality, but won't fit in a pocket.

Excerpt: I have owned a series of Sony Digital cameras, and this is the first one (H1) that I have purchased for my wife. What sold me was the long optical zoom lens (10x) which is great for travel and sports, although you obviously have to be careful with shake and vibration. We took this camera to Tanzania to do some volunteer work, and the shots we took were wonderful, both of the local population and during a brief safari.
The Sony-Cybershot H1 Digital camera is a great camera.

Excerpt: I have the Sony-Cybershot H1 digital camera and I love the pictures it takes, expecially the action pictures. The pictures are clear and print out wonderful, in fact all of my pictures in my home have been taken with this camera. The video portion is not a great as I would like it and needs to be tweeked. But still produces good video.
Summary: The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H1 while being a older camera and not having the huge megapixel count of the newer camera is still a solid camera. My family likes it so much that we have 5 of them. The Pro's: Uses regular AA batteries that can be purchased anywhere. Has a "View finder" as well as a large screen which saves batteries. Simple direction controls for the most part. Memory cards are easy to use and purchase and you can save hundreds of images.
Good Camera but extras needed to get best performance.

Summary: Good all around digital camera that when outfitted with filters and close up lenses will serve one's photo needs quite well. The camera by itself is good for basic shoots but the above mentioned accessories can be bought for not much at all. Also an adapter is needed for the 58 mm close up lenses and filters to fit. The adapter will also help protect the lense that extends as you prepare to take a picture.
Summary: The shutter button broke on my SONY DSCH1. No camera place would touch it. It had to be sent directly to SONY in Japan. That was like $177.I had had it for 5+ years. I bought an expensive Olympus, then a Sony H1 for a replacement. These cameras cost twice as much as this one did. (One would think they'd be BETTER cameras for the price!!) I returned both of them!! The picture qualities were grainy!
Summary: In my opinion, this "point and shoot" is the level just below the "DSLR" camera category. Without getting into specifics, it takes excellent pictures, ie: wedding shots, family events, even sporting events (as long as the athletes are not real fast runners). The slow shutter speed is what eats me alive! It has an "action" setting for sports, but if you are trying to capture that quick action shot, good luck.
Summary: I'd seen impressive images taken with this camera, so I sought one out and found it at Amazon. Not many are likely to be buying this older model, but you need to know the following if you do: The image quality is REALLY extraordinary wihtin it's limitations. The combination of great optical zoom, surprising focus 'depth of field' at distance and really sharp resolution (for just 5 MP density) make it possible to take very satisfying landscapes.
Summary: I have owned this camera for 2 years now and safely can say its a good camera in most aspects. Its use in everyday situations is what makes it so decent. There are always pro's and con's to everything, and this is no exception. But, i may say there is more good than bad. The bad itself is my personal opinions that i noticed over the 2 year period i owned it. I JUST upgraded to the Canon XT 8mp Digital SLR... No other reason for me to get rid of this camera.
