Summary: I think I simply need to get used to it. I lost my camera and this is the exact model...there seems to be a long delay after I shoot a photo for the photograph to make it to the memory stick...
Easy to use, great pictures, large LCD and AA Batteries; what more could you ask for?

Summary: Hi, I bought my first one around 2006. Then I got one for my truck to have for those sudden "look at that" shots. One burned in a fire and this one replaces it. I love the AA batteries rather than proprietary $$$ and like the simplicity of taking shots with different settings just by twisting the adjustment knob. With the little golfer setting you can stop a hummingbirds wings in motion. Glad I found this one at AMAZON, my favorite place to shop.
Excerpt: The Sony DSC-H1 is a big part of my life. With its 12x optical zoom its captured important moments of my life that I’ll never forget. The camera cost me around $450 a couple years ago, when 12x optical zoom cameras were not as prevalent as they are today.
Summary: I bought this used camera based on the user reviews and the price. It goes through batteries pretty quickly but takes great pictures. Lots of features and can be switched to manual - which I intend to learn how to use some day. Right now, I'm happy with the automatic settings.
Summary: I just received the camera and am therefore still learning it. It has only 5.1 megapixel which is a small number by todays standards, but my smaller Sony with 5 meg is able to print cropped 8x10 prints very clearly. This camera has a 12x zoom lens and the older Sonys especially are noted for the quality of their lenses. This camera in addition to the screen on the back to view your subject before snapping the picture has a viewfinder type display.
