Summary: This is a great, compact camera with very good picture quality. Battery life is good, about 55 min on a full charge and the controls are easy to operate and understand. Only real drawback is the lack of zoom, but the small size of the camera kinda makes up for that. The camera comes with a 4 Mb memory stck which will only hold about 7 pictures so you will need to buy an additional memory stck.
Pros: Terrific picture quality
Cons: Slow downloads to computer via serial cable and no zoom

Pros: GREAT QUALITY OF PICTURES WHICH CAN BE CAPTURED MOVING OR STILL
Summary: I bought this to get some digital images for some web pages I was working on. It was a good excuse to buy a great toy. Two of my friends recommended it to me and had been using it for a while. I bought it for about £600 pounds from internet cameras direct but I did get some extras that do not come as standard, but more on them shortly. The camera is simplicity itself to use, plug the battery in and put the memory stick in and switch on.
Summary: I have recently bought the Cybershot F-55 thanks to dooyoo for the funds. It only cost me £250 due to the fact it was an ex-dislay model with battery, charger & memory stick missing. The list price is £695 but can be found at around the £480 mark. The camera is usualy sold with 4mb memory stick & battery, charger, mains adapter, software etc.
Excerpt: "I bought this camera because of the ease of use.... the quality of the pictures ... and the ability to take short mpeg movies (with sound) which you can then play back and capture the image for that perfect picture, excellent for use in action shots whether it be a penalty kick at football or your daughter getting covered by a wave on holiday.. the ability to take a 15 second movie then freeze frame and select the shot you want on your computer has ...
Pros: being able to chose the shots i want and delete the ones i dont by checking the menu built in
Excerpt: "The camera has advantages and disadvantages: The advantages are clear, good quality, long battery life and if you have a “TV card” you can easily turn it into a webcam….. The disadvantages: the mpeg-videos are too dark, you get red eyes too often and some of the equipment is too expensive [eg the memory stick, but I’m sure the price will drop with time] .Also it has no USB, but I can spare that. The quality sinks however when you zoom and ...
Pros: Good quality, long battery life, can be used as webcam
Cons: red eyes, mpegs are too dark, bad zoom quality
Excerpt: "I am basically happy with this product: it is generally good quality; the batteries last a relatively long time; and it can be turned into a webcam very easily if you have a TV card. There are, however, various problems of which it is as well to be aware before you buy it. The additional equipment for the camera is really pretty expensive and it has no USB. The MPEG-videos are far too dark and the picture quality deteriorates when you use the zoom ...
