Excerpt: I Love this one !! Great Range.. Good color balance, sharp image quality and tons of function. A great grab-to-go camera that replacing my Canon 500D. Problems: I wished that flash can be a little strong ....
Summary: I bought this camera because I go to a lot of concerts and wanted a camera with a decent megapixel size and a large zoom so I was guaranteed close up shots even if I wasn't at the front of the crowd. The zoom, for the price & size is pretty fantastic - however dependent on light, the appearence of white spots on the photo in low-light conditions is a bit of a turn off.
I also love this camera because of all the built-in filters.

Summary: I gave it 4 stars because it takes nice pictures by just point and shoot. With a bit of effort you can learn at least some of the many features. The manual is a bit skimpy and does not point out that some options are mutually exclusive. It took me a long time to figure out how to make the drive option work.
Summary: This is my first Samsung Camera as up to now been a Canon camera fan. Chosen for the great zoom. Great slim camera. Long battery life which is great for trips away with no accesss to recharging. Reddens colours sometimes but I knew that before buying. Easy to switch from different settings and the quality without flash in bad light is great. Reviewing pictures that have been taken, however, is poor as very very slow to scroll.
Summary: I had the ST550 before, and have been impressed by the quality of Samsung Cameras. With this in mind, and the fact that I wanted one with a great deal of zoom, but still be compact, I saw this. I'm thoroughly impressed with this camera, as it functions very well and is not slow and clunky. Images are crisp and clear with plenty settings you can adjust to adjust your image to taste. The zoom is great, although its not silent.
Excerpt: "...much instantaneously, in this model samsung give both regular Auto mode and additional Smart Auto mode, compares scenes and subjects with on-board parameters and selects the ideal settings for an optimum performance for the given scene. Working on this latest generation model for video as well as stills, this comes across as fairly reliable, making the WB600 an able point and shoot aid. Available in black, brown or silvery grey, i went for the silvery ...
Summary: I bought this camera as a replacement for an old vivtar camera that has just decided to 'retire!' I was looking for something that was straightforward to use - I am not very technically minded - but would also provide decent pictures. The camera is very easy to use. It is perfect for those people who just want to point and shoot. It also has very useful features such as a 15 x zoom. It is still early days but the more I use the camera the better the results.
Summary: Camera is OK but slow to take pictures so you can miss an action photo due to the length of time to set up the camera and track items eg like swans taking off from a lake. Still is good. Optocal Zoom is quite good. Do not buy the very expensive samsung case as no neck strap or fittings supplied. Get a cheaper & better one like Lowepro.
