Summary: Length:: 1:25 Mins I uploaded a video, so you can see how this camera performs in certain conditions. Good things: looks good nice and light switches on quickly time lapse photography tripod attachment Bad things: no lens protection fiddly menus still pictures only good if you are standing stock still in broad daylight no possibility for spare battery files not compatible with Corel rubbish in low light
Summary: First the pros - the Samsung is fantastically compact and portable : so much so that I even forgot that I had it in my pocket. Despite other reviews complaining of its performance indoors I'd say its perfectly acceptable for a room with normal lighting and its only if the light is seriously low that it will struggle and in good light the picture quality is superb. The cons - like other reviewers, I have found the touch-sensitive control pad to be very impractical.
Summary: The Samsung U10 looks very nice and is well presented - more stylish and smaller than the zi8. It has a banana bend in the middle to give a so-called natural angle to holding it. I think that's mere marketing. The slowish f3.0 lens has a fixed covering over it so it is protected - you can't remove this. The battery is fixed too inside the U10 and is not user-replaceable - no spares then to keep on shooting if you run out when out for the day. This is an issue for me.
