Features

The Samsung TL225 is a 12.2 mega-pixel compact digital camera which features Dual LCD screens, with one LCD on the front of the camera, and a second one on the back of the camera, to give consumers the ability to capture their own image picture. There is a 1.5" LCD located on the front of the Samsung DualView TL225 which allows consumers to take photos of themselves in front of it. It also features a 3.5" wide touch-screen back LCD with 1,152K resolution and haptic vibration feedback. A 12.2 mega-pixel CCD and 27mm wide-angle Schneider-KREUZNACH lens with 4.6x optical zoom gives a wider shooting range from a shorter distance, producing balanced resolution from the center of the image to the edges. The Samsung TL225 also allows users to sort images by registered faces and scroll through to find images of people in their Smart Album instead of viewing every single photo) and Smart Auto (which is able to recognize 16 different potential scenes, analyzes key elements of the composition and subject, and then selects the appropriate scene settings in response), for optimal shooting conditions, the Smart Gesture UI with built-in Gravity sensor allows users to switch different modes or view saved images by tilting the camera in a certain direction; and Beauty Shot which lets users remove all the imperfections on a subject’s face such as wrinkles, blemishes, and moles.

Samsung has surprised the world with the introduction of the DualView TL225, one of the first digicams ever to offer dual LCD screens, one located on the front of the camera, along with the typical display on the back. This "DualView" approach is aimed towards those who are constantly taking self-portraits or small group shots using the one-handed, self-photographer method; turning the camera towards you and holding it with one hand while posing for the photo with a... 5. Samsung TL225

    18 November 2009

The Samsung TL225 is an attractive camera for the $330 price. It shoots good pictures, has a decent zoom lens and is easy to control and use. The large screen on the back of the camera is excellent: clear, bright and with enough resolution to show fine details. We also found that the touch-screen interface was also pretty good: we had no major problems controlling the camera and navigating beyond a few missed buttons. Read more

I replaced my 9 year old Sony Cybershot camera with this camera. What a mistake! My biggest complaint is the quality of photos this camera takes. Terrible! Grainy. Not at all the quality I was used to. Who cares about the interface functions being good when the end result is terrible photos. BTW the battery life is very short - even when you are not using the front screen. I want my 9 year old Sony back. Read more

The product has exceeded all my expectation to-date. The pics are clear the video is sharp. I am most impressed with the HDMI interface. The software included is great it store all the setting with the image that was use when the picture was taken. So far have not found any fault with it. Read more or see product
