Summary: I bought this camera fairly cheap at a going out of business sale from some online store. I was taking a trip, and my older Kodak digital is a bit bulky. This camera is great for portability, battery life, ease of connection and charging via USB, and it has a nice, large LCD screen. That's about where it stops being great. Unless the lighting is perfect, the pics tend to come out dark.
Summary: I'm a police officer and needed a camera for calls I respond to on patrol. Our PD won't provide patrol officers with cameras, and the investigators (who have the good DSLR cameras) only respond for the more serious crimes. On a cop's salary it's hard to come up with the money for a high-quality camera, or to justify spending very much on one since there's a chance it'll get damaged being carried around daily in my gear bag.
Summary: This camera is pretty durable, and it's small enough that It'll fit in a pocket. It's got just enough zoom for a camera its size, and the flash is OK. However, the battery door is EXTREMELY fragile, and can become undone very easily. In addition, image and video quality is really poor. As long a you're not trying to make high-quality prints at a size over 4x6, it ought to be fine.
Summary: After having had the magenta 7.2mp Samsung S73 for three years, I decided it was time for an upgrade. The S73 took crisp, excellent pictures - the only major issue I had with it was the frustratingly slow flash recycle lag in between taking pictures. I figured I'd go with another Samsung since I'd been so happy with my last one. I got this one brand new from eBay, and was excited to try it out.
Summary: I like this camera except for 3 things. When you take pictures, if it isn't in direct sunlight, or in REALLY bright lighting, the pics turn out really dark..so I have to end up turning the night mode on and the pics still look odd. Secondly, a lot of the pictures turn out blurry so you have to keep retaking the shot till you get a decent one. Lastly, the button sucks. You have to press it a few times to get the shot, and usually by then, the "kodak moment" is gone.
Summary: The camera works but I never seem to get pictures that look much better than my phone, actually many are worse due to the auto focus not working well. There is good and bad in this camera but I would expect allot more from Samsung, I have come to dislike some of their products in recent years. After owning it for a long time it still works, although that is because we don't use it much any more.
Summary: For an $80 camera I guess that this was a pretty good deal. It does everything that a point and shoot should do, but not as well as I had hoped. The pictures tend to come off pretty blurry, even at close range, and action shots are almost impossible to have come out right. Pretty good for still shots or family photos, but if you're looking to do anything with more detail or precision I would look at shelling out a bit more money for a better camera.
