Summary: this camera worked very well when i had it! i ended up giving this to a friend a few years down the road after i bought another waterproof camera for myself. the quality was very good and i can't complain about much. it survived lots of drops and bumps. towards the end of it's time with me, the lens had a hard time opening and sometimes you'd have to manually pull them the rest of the way out, but the camera still worked well.
Summary: This thing AUTO CORRECTS any out of focus (slight) bad lighting, etc. Take shot: it shows it, then CORRECTS it. If you can still get them used for $40 GRAB IT. My Goodness, I never saw a camera < $100. do this, you need photo editing software, and spend 1/2 an hour, BLAH BLAH. How refreshing. Looks like my next camera will be Samsung.
Summary: I got this camera because I had broken the exact same one, and I'm afraid of change, didn't want to learn a whole new device. I have to say that the shipping was much faster than I had expected it to be, but sadly, the video recorder doesn't work. It freezes the camera every time I try. It's a pretty big kick to the balls.
Summary: I love this camera, but it doesn't like to be dropped on the floor. So the lens motor broke when I dropped it for the 4678th time. I was able to purchase this camera and I used the cover from the old one. All is well now. Have my camera back and am taking great pictures again.
Summary: This is a great camera, very easy to use and gets great pictures. My son droped my first one so i bough a newer camera that cost more money and I took that one back because it just was not even close to as good. So this is now my second one and I have had no problems with either of them. When my son dropped the first one the lense was out that is what brock, but I have dropped this camera a number of times with nothing happening, pretty tough.
Summary: This review comes with a little story. On the first day of my recent trip to the USA, my camera decided to cop out on me. The battery wouldn't charge. I was distraught! In the center of fabulous San Francisco with no camera! So I went to Macy's and finally located the electronics department, which turned out to be a large vending machine in the food hall.
Summary: Frankly, I am puzzled by all the great reviews. While I've taken some really good photos with it, I've had problems from the get go and should have returned it immediately. 1) Right now, the camera won't even open, and it is fully charged. 2) There is a long lag between photos (sometimes as long as 10 seconds), so I'm missing some great action shots. 3) I sometimes get coloring that looks like a negative; everthing faded and blue. No matter what setting I use.
Summary: I bought this camera so I could capture better pictures for my auctions at a reasonable price. The camera does nearly everything I need it to, takes clear crisp photos and it has long battery life. The camera can easily plug into your laptop for downloading the pictures/videos and is charged the same way, without batteries. The only dislike I had was that it does not take great close up/detail shots (probably need a higher MP).
Summary: I've had so many cameras in the past few years. All different brands, but the one that I had better results with, had been this Samsung SL420. I like it so much that I bought it for a second time after I lost the one I had. I didn't wanna try any other camera I just knew I wanted the same. Pictures are always nice. The smart options is really "smart" because it never takes a bad picture =D. It's very easy to use. Resolution is great.
