Summary: Got this camera because we were about to have a baby and loved the wifi feature. Couldnt use it in the hospital at all! Used it for maybe the first 3 months of her life and then the flash and shutter decided to take about a minute or longer to respond if they even would respond. Put it in its hard proof case and left it. 2yrs now I decided I want to try it again.
Summary: Bought this camera for my wife. She's starting to get into some digital photography and wanted a small unit she could keep in her purse/pocket/whatever. I selected it because it's a Samsung product (big fan of these folks) and a number of features, in particular the program modes, WiFi, and the ability to upload from the camera directly over WiFi to Facebook, Picasa, and others. After she used it for a couple of days, she admitted it wasn't really growing on her.
Summary: I bought one and used it once and the screen shattered. I put it in my front pocket with no keys like I have done many times before with other similar cameras. I pulled it out and the screen was shattered. I did not bump into anything and it was just a matter or minutes between putting it in my pocket and taking it out. I was able to send it to Samsung and they replaced teh screen free of charge.
Summary: Actually I expected the quality of pictures to be better. The photo quality was slightly better than my Nokia 5800's. And seems the box was opened.. It doesn't really looked like a new. So, I'm a bit dissapointed with this camera. Touchscreen, and everything is great.
Summary: The camera is lightweight, easy to put in the pocket. I bought this camera mostly because of the WiFi feature. After search the web, I didn't found too many cameras with WiFi. However, the WiFi design of the camera is very poor. The operation is not user friendly and worse than most devices with WiFi I have ever seen. The reception is worse than all other WiFi devices in my house.
Summary: I just received my SH100 today, so I won't try to do a full in-depth review. However, in the hours that I've played with it I can already tell that there are quite a few 'quirks' that seriously hinder an otherwise great camera. First, the camera comes with a touchscreen interface for most of the functions. Sadly, it also comes with a stylus which, in my experience, isn't optional to use in many situations (such as typing) - at least with my large fingers.
Summary: I bought this camera based on the Engadget recommendation, because the camera records video in H.264 instead of the horribly inefficient motion JPEG, and for the cool WiFi feature. When it arrived I was impressed at how small it is but the menu system seemed to crash a lot or become unresponsive. It turns out this camera has a firmware update from July 29, 2011.
Summary: First off this camera takes AMAZING pictures! It posts to facebook and all those other things pretty easily, but it does not remember your login info and you have to constantly type it in. the biggest problem I have had is that you can only send pictures set at 2MP so you cannot get the full use of the 14MP if you want to send them via the camera's built in WiFi.
