Great quality photos for a low-priced camera

  • Excerpt: This camera produces great quality photos for the price tag.  I am always getting comments from family and friends on how great the pics turn out.  The only bad thing about this camera is the battery life.  It tends to die very quickly so I would suggest going for lithium batteries.  I am very happy with this camera despite that, you cant beat the price for the quakity of pictures it produces.  It also takes good quality video.

  • Summary: the camera is fair, but the battery life sucks, especially when using the AA batteries. I'm not sure how the rechargable ones are since I've never used them.

Samsung Digimax S730 Digital Camera

  • Summary: This is a very good camera. WHEN IT WORKS!! The thing will freeze and eat up all the life of the batteries. However... when it works it is a wonderful camera. It works very well and takes great photos. It's very fun because you can add stickers. DO NOT TAKE VIDEOS. That just sucks the juice out of the battery like a vacume cleaner. All in all it's an OK camera and I can't stress enough the suckish battery life.

Good Camera

  • Summary: The camera is super easy to use and a great price for all of the neat features. The site makes it sound like it comes with a rechargeable battery, and it doesn't. You will definetely need to buy a rechargeable battery. AA batteries will only survive for a few minutes. And, for some reason, when I try to scroll from my new pictures to pictures that are saved on my memory card from my old camera, this camera freezes up and I have had to pop the battery out to get it to...

Samsung strikes out!

  • Summary: I bought this for my wifes birthday, and now she's unhappy. The camera takes descent pictures, if the camera can stay operational long enough to take some pictures. I first tryed the batteries that were supplied with the camera and they lasted about 2 minutes. I used lithium batteries and they lasted even less. Then I used rechargable batteries and they lasted about 3 minutes.

  • Summary: Mostly, I am pleased with my purchase...but I'm glad I waited and used the camera a bunch before I wrote this review. Some of the pluses: small, lightweight, great screen. It is relatively easy to use/learn the features with a few shots on each setting. Some of the minuses: not good for taking self-shots (you all know what these are) as even the most wide zoom is too close, the red-eye reduction feature doesn't work...at all..

Ok For the Price

anonymous, ReviewView

  • Conclusion: For what you pay, it's worth the money. I also experienced the common battery problem. After 7 shots, the batteries that came with the camera were toast. Luckily...I purchased the energizer digital camera batteries....and have taken about 50 pics so far. Batteries are still full. It's an average camera for the price. Nothing special. Very user friendly.
