Summary: Very impressive for the time! I purchased this camera nearly 5 years ago and it was still going strong up until it was stolen from my house in early 2012. This is a very sable point and who camera with good quality images. Easy to use, and easy to upload. You can get cameras with better pixel rates and features on the market for sure, but this product is great for getting the job done. Definitely recommended as a starter digital camera, great for kids or teenagers.
Summary: My experience over the last couple of years seems to jibe with what other reviewers have said. The first unit I got stopped functioning properly after a couple of weeks. I forget the exact problem, but I took it back to the retailer (K-Mart) and they provided a new one. This has worked fine. Battery life is the major issue, and I think it's a defect. Sometimes the most powerful and expensive lithium batteries won't take five pictures, flash or not.

Summary: I recently got this Samsung to replace an aging 1st-generation Nikon Coolpix 990 (3.43 megapixel, circa '99 or so). I got it before the price drop, so with a 2GB card was about $170. I'm not going to repeat the notes from other reviewers. However, some items: 1) It's not ultra-light weight, but you can still carry it around in a shirt pocket or jeans pocket in a pinch. So, it won't be burdensome to carry around for quick pics of the kids at picnics and stuff like that.
Summary: This is a very good camera. WHEN IT WORKS!! The thing will freeze and eat up all the life of the batteries. However... when it works it is a wonderful camera. It works very well and takes great photos. It's very fun because you can add stickers. DO NOT TAKE VIDEOS. That just sucks the juice out of the battery like a vacume cleaner. All in all it's an OK camera and I can't stress enough the suckish battery life.
Summary: The camera is super easy to use and a great price for all of the neat features. The site makes it sound like it comes with a rechargeable battery, and it doesn't. You will definetely need to buy a rechargeable battery. AA batteries will only survive for a few minutes. And, for some reason, when I try to scroll from my new pictures to pictures that are saved on my memory card from my old camera, this camera freezes up and I have had to pop the battery out to get it to...
Summary: I bought this for my wifes birthday, and now she's unhappy. The camera takes descent pictures, if the camera can stay operational long enough to take some pictures. I first tryed the batteries that were supplied with the camera and they lasted about 2 minutes. I used lithium batteries and they lasted even less. Then I used rechargable batteries and they lasted about 3 minutes.
Summary: Mostly, I am pleased with my purchase...but I'm glad I waited and used the camera a bunch before I wrote this review. Some of the pluses: small, lightweight, great screen. It is relatively easy to use/learn the features with a few shots on each setting. Some of the minuses: not good for taking self-shots (you all know what these are) as even the most wide zoom is too close, the red-eye reduction feature doesn't work...at all..
