Samsung Digimax S630 6MP Dig Camera with 3x Optical Advance Shake Reduction Zoom
1 June 2008
Summary: Thanked you so much for fast and prompth delivery for my Samsung Digimax S630 6MP. And I give to my cousin as my gift for her passed teacher board exam taken on April. And the problem to her Digital is always changing the battery. In every 5minutes used the battery is gone and it says low batt.
Summary: I have an Olympus C-3000 3MP camera that runs rings around this one in terms of ease of use and battery life. It's big and clunky so I picked this camera up hoping to have something more compact for quick situations.
Pros: Price was pretty much unbeatable at $59.99 on special. The size is very convenient as it fits easily into a shirt pocket and shoots 6MP photos.
Cons: Useless without Lithium-Ion batteries and even then, only average battery life. No optical viewfinder means the LCD has to be on and burning batteries in order to do anything. Menus are confusing and I never found a way to select image size on them.
Summary: I wished I had spent more money and bought a better, more descent camera, like a Canon or a Sony. You'll be much happier.
Pros: The cost of the camera is priced right, but it lacks the quality one might come to expect. Other than the price, no other Pros.
Cons: The pics are not very clear. Red eye is very noticable in each shot taken. There is a few second delay in taking pictures (very annoying when you want to take a quick snapshot). It lacks the quality of pics taken. Doesn't do well indoors.
Summary: Overall, I'm not happy with this product. Flash should NOT eat that much battery life. Has some good features, but poorly implemented.
Pros: Cheap, nicely sized, easy-to-use, SD slot (can use SDHC also), movie mode, digital effects, uses AA Batteries
Cons: Battery life (when using flash) - I was getting about 10 pictures per set of BRAND NEW alkalines when using the flash (took over 1000 per set with NO FLASH). Image stabilization feature seems USELESS. Also, cannot (that I can see) change from 6MP setting. I wanted to take smaller pictures to save...
Summary: I bought this for my mom for Mother's Day and I'm disappointed. The picture quality just isn't there, all the pictures feel a little flat. Not blurry, per se, just never crisp. That being the primary function of a camera, I can't get too up on this thing.
