Summary: I've made some great 11X17 prints from its files but the camera is impossible to use in bright light. I bought an NX20 (looks like a dslr) for that purpose, keeping the NX1000 in car. The 20-50 is remarkably good, but I also bought a 30 and a 50-200. I mostly print my own, often in B&W...I think these cameras readily equal my Nikon-scanned chromes in most situations.
Summary: This originally retailed for 699 I believe from Fry's. The camera quality is good (not as well as I wanted) but for those who just want nice photos, nothing professional, everyday use, this is a great camera.
Excerpt: Bought one of these cameras in Dec 2013 for £150 ($220) from a major retailer. For the price it's a proverbial cracker. I bought it as my girlfriend was having issues with my Canon DSLR and I wanted something small and light for weekend trips. Really good quality photos in good and low light using the 'kit' 20-50mm lens.
Summary: We love the camera and all of the options that come with it but the charger is defective. We don't want to return the entire camera and all of the components because everything works except the charger. Please let us return this one item!! This is a great camera and we do not feel we should be penalized for receiving defective merchandise!
Summary: I bought this camera a month ago and find it a good camera, takes very good pictures and allows maximum resolution of 20mp. The maximum range is 12000 iso but after 1200 is quite noisy especially at night. To take pictures in the day is perfect, compact, nice, lightweight and is also economical, the problem I found is that heat up a bit and in one occasion it froze so It did not respond until I remove the battery. Night photography is a bit difficult to get into focus.
Summary: As amateur photographer, this camera let me take the photos I want without spending lots of money. Though, the lens are not cheap and is a must to take photos, at least the 50-200mm. Recommender for amateurs and begginers.
Excerpt: I've been looking for something between my Nikon SLR's and my iPhone for something worth carrying. m4/3, Canon G1X, Canon EOS-M, Sony Nex, Nikon Coolpix A. I wanted something pocketable, flash shoe, inexpensive. This is it. Sensor is great. Lenses are great. could use some zoom 2.8 lenses, but all things considered, it's okay, that's what the SLR's are for.
