Summary: This is a lovely looking camera but the large lense will eventually get on your nerves. This camera has jammed on me a few times where couldn't turn it on or off or take a picture. The images come out well and the zoom is good. I ignored the reviews for the look of the camera and I am not quite sure it was worth it.
Excerpt: i believe for the money you are getting a good camera, its great looking and it does very good video in fact i think out of the quality of the video and some of the photos the video quality wins. i have had a few accidents with this camera and it has fallen from a height of about 2m so i was pleased when i picked it up to find it was still in working order.
Excerpt: If you are still thinking about it, stop thinking and buy it because it is a fanatastic bit of kit. Easy to use for beginners with a huge array of in-depth features for the advanced user as well. Every option from automatic picture control to the ability to change colours, focus points and exposure times. The anti-shake modes combined with a tremendous optical zoom mean that distant shots are now crisp and clear.
Pros: Slick retro look combining anti shake and optical zoom for perfect photos .
Cons: Little slow on consecutive shots and new interface may take a little getting used to .
Excerpt: The samsung nv7 is a very good camera that features an excellent zoom and a brilliant control system. The camera is iconically styled but because of the big lens, is quite hard to carry round, if you areg oing to buy this camera, then i would definately recommend the samsung official case for it.The control system used on this camera has never been seen before, it has many advantages and a few disadvantages.
Excerpt: I bought this camera as something to chuck in my bag on trips, as I was using a canon 20d or a nikon f5 on outings and they seemed a bit overkill for casual snaps. I wanted a quality digital compact camera and after checking a few reviews the NV7 seemed the job. I should say that I am used to high quality results from my mamiya RZ672 and horseman 4x5 cameras, as well as the 2 I mentioned above, and of course I will not compare these cameras to a comparatively cheap...
Pros: Superb design, Intuitive menus .
Cons: Image quality, ISO response, innacurate manual setting
