Summary: I had gifted my spouse with a same camera but on a recent trip the camera fell to the sea and got dead. I was search for a similar model and after great deal of search I could find this item in Money_Clip. He was a nice person and could solve that loosing of a similar great camera by another. Not all person understand the emotion behind a purchase but fortunately he is..
Summary: First, I'll say that there are some things I really liked about this camera after using it for the past six months. The retro design makes it unique among digital cameras, and is very attractive if that's your style. The low price for a 10 megapixel camera is unrivaled as well, and was one of the main draws for me for this camera. It holds battery well, so I didn't have to recharge as often as some other cameras I've had.
Summary: Picture quality is very good, but not excellent. I don't like the pop-up flash. When someone else uses the camera, they tend to think it can be opened manually -- a logical conclusion. Fortunately, I've been able to give them advanced warning. If that isn't possible in the future, someone may innocently break the camera by opening the flash. Also, dust seems to be collecting under the LCD cover. That would be OK, if there were a way the user could clean it out.
Summary: This camera is truly amazing. i would reccomend reading the manual before even taking a picture if your not familiar with ISO, apeture, EV, ect. This is not a begginer point and shoot. The thing i love the most about this camera is you dont need the flash in low light situations. the flash on this camera washes out your subjects, i never use it. Like with any other camera there is noise if you up the ISO, it goes from 80-3,200.
Summary: If your worried about it being durable, don't be. I work as an engineer at a steel mill and I use it to document projects. I've dropped it a couple times from waist height, covered it in metal dust, and overall have generally used it in hot, sweaty, and dirty conditions. I've even had some water splashed on it. Sure it may have a couple small scratches on the frame, but that's to be expected. The display on the back is even fine.
Summary: I have enjoyed using this camera, the interface with the multiple buttons around the screen makes changing the settings a breeze. It does a pretty good job cleaning up the picture when you use the doubler as well and I think it looks pretty cool.
Excerpt: I bought my Samsung NV15 about 3 years ago as it was recommended by the company where I bought my telescope. I intended to do some digiscoping. However, I have had a number of problems with this camera. Firstly, the flap that holds the battery and data card in place has a small plastic catch which broke after the camera was out of warranly - the flap is now held in place by electrical tape (black to match the camera!!).
Pros: Good quality photos, very good video
Cons: The innovative button arrangement for menu selection very poor to abysmal
