Summary: I finally upgraded to this 10.2 megapixel camera. The main reason for getting it was the 1280 high def video recorder. I thought it was 60 fps, but the HD is at 30, which is better than the average 15 fps. It does shoot 60 fps at 320. You cant beat the 10x zoom, and this incredible lens.
Summary: This camera has been very good so far in the time that I have had it. It takes good to great pictures depending on the situation. It takes HD 720p video. The best part of it in my opinion is the zooming capabilities. It is a fairly compact camera, but it has a megazoom lens.
Excerpt: I first came across the Samsung WB500 digital camera while browsing the shelves in Tesco for a new Satnav, I had saved for a new Satnav for a few months and strangely enough I came away that day with a camera instead of a Satnav…. That’s exactly how weird I can be!
Pros: Lovely to hold, takes fantastic pictures and it's very reliable !
Excerpt: Ah, great product. The zoom is superb, that is expected from a 35" Schneider Lens. The picture quality is great, even in full zoom you can achieve a crisp image. It simple to use so don't worry if you're not good with electronics.
Excerpt: WB500 Samsung digital camera DSLR in the film 'Honey I Shrunk kids' but with a fixed lens. The look is off a DSLR with the raised corner and the big lens. The camera is stron with thick metal around it, i have dropped this device several times and still works perfectly.
Summary: Absolutley fantastic camera! I am quite a critic when it comes to cameras as I have had several within the last few years which have either died on me or have just not done the job. I was looking for something which was great at taking videos as well as photographs.
Excerpt: Having had a previous samsung camera which was simply the best I did not think that it would be possible for these make of cameras to get better. Yet they did, it is quite an expensive camera, but the saying " you pay for what you get " is the exact saying which matches this camera.
Summary: I bought this camera in haste as my old Fuji had died and I needed one for my holiday. The Camera is only just what I'd call pocket sized but I decided if I wanted quickk snaps I'd just use my phone camera.
Summary: A chunky, well built if not overly stylish camera which feels comfortable to use. Not a slimline item for tight pockets but not as obvious in use as a SLR. Plus features; easy to use in auto mode and not hard to work around the other mode options. Excellent optical zoom to x10.
