Summary: Have it for a while and it's my go to camera. A good balance between performance and portability. Articulate screen is another neat feature. Like it very much. Solid metal construction. Pro: picture quality. low light capability. OLED screen is fantastic. hot shoe for external light. Con: the lens cap is manual, would be more convenient if it's automatic. Maybe because the lens is huge on such a point and shoot.
Summary: Owned it for over a year and I think it's one of the best in class, comparable if not better than Panasonic or Sony. Good thing is Samsung is relatively not a brand name in digital photography so I can get at a lower price as opposed to those brand name offerings. I did a lot of low light or indoor shots so the f1.8 helps a lot. This is my working horse wherever I cannot carry my bulky 5DIII.
Summary: The pictures are definitely up to par, with DSLRs. Sharpness, color and depth are first rate. Macro photography is also one of the strong points of this camera. Adorama cameras were so efficient with the delivery too! Thank you.
Summary: Very well made camera..Slow focus.....Very slow to process at times......you do have a nice Hotshoe....Good luck finding a flash that works Tried 4....Its a waste!....I would not buy again!!!!
Summary: I must have read all of the available reviews on this camera and its closest competitors before purchasing it. I wanted a serious camera to supplement my DSLR - something very portable that would produce high quality pictures similar to my DSLR. I had a specific preference for a 10 megapixel camera with a larger sensor than the typical compact. I did not want an ILC (didn't want to buy or carry yet more lenses - might as well just carry my DSLR).
Summary: My memories (pictures) are definitely in good hands with this camera. The lens is fantastic. Everything comes in crystal clear. An example of the clarity, there is a bridge that I use in my experimental sessions; the railings on this bridge have designs that are fairly intricate (yet not too ornate). I am capable of seeing these railings and the intricate designs within them from pictures I take of it from quarter mile away. To me, that is fairly impressive.
Summary: This camera is just bliss for hand-held low-light and night photography. You see an image on the screen, take the photo, and 9 times out of 10 the photo is exactly the same as the image you saw. Storefronts at night, restaurants, lights, perfect, no noise. When I shot film, I dreamed of a camera that could do this.
