Summary: This Samsung digital camera was bought for me as a present from my boyfriend. It boasts a sleek, elegant design that is light to carry and small enough to squeeze into my tiniest handbag. The high megapixel count means that my photos come out sharp and in bright and bold colours. The 3 x optical zoom allows me to take pictures from a distance and focus on smaller items of interest to create exciting and memorable photos.
Summary: Introduction The camera i had before this was basically to simple and the megapixels were alot lower than this camera, so i thought the best option was to purchase a new one. I had a look around for a camera which was generally small, had good megapixels, and one with feature which I would know how to use. At the time i was aiming for a £100 budget which i completed but obviously the camera is cheaper these days.
Excerpt: "...about this camera is that Samsung is a worldwide known quality brand, and this camera is deinately a quality product. The customer support for samsung is amazing, phone numbers and email addresses come inside the box along with the camera. There are also online forums which people can help you with your product. Emails are answered promptly (approx two days), and phone calls are also answered promptly and they rarely put you onto silly music which ...
Excerpt: "Well, I bought this camera thinking it would be good, I got it open and it was terrible. The zoom on the camera isn't very good and you can only see clearly up to about 200m, unless I'm using it wrong. the pictures you take aren't very good quality. I would NOT recommend this camera. Also, the design is fairly bad as well, it just looks like grey box with a silver circle sticking out of it, It is however fairly easy to use, probably because there ...
Pros: Kind of easy to use
Cons: Pictures are poor, range is poor, design is terrible .
Excerpt: "...I will be writing to Samsung to tell them how disappointed I am. Do NOT buy this camera. Yes, the picture quality is very good. Yes, it is a good size. But it will cost you hundreds of pounds to feed it batteries! Buy a rechargeable camera and save yourself the hassle. ...
Pros: Good picture quality
Cons: Absolutely SHOCKING battery life, 3 photos max to a set of batteries !
Summary: Of course I'm not Robert Doisneau but for personnal use it's good. I'm quiet happy with the quality. If I should criticize something it would be the batery. Why not to put a rechargeable batery inside? Good product, Delivered very fast.
Summary: First of all the battery chamber is very difficult to close . You have to push down really hard to lock the batters in. THis caused my battery chamber clip to break within just 3 months of purchasing it. I contacted Samsung and they refuse to replace it even though it was clearly stil within the warranty time. You have to keep your hand on the button a long time before the picture is taken and you almost wont get any good pics at night.
Excerpt: "...functions like alot of other samsung cameras ive used seem to be. BATTERY ISSUES- even when using the lithium battery's they don't last long and when using cheap battery's have sometimes lasted as few as 2 hours when camera is in frequent use. so if you do buy this camera decent re-chargeable battery's are an absolute must or at 4.99 standard cost a time for 4 lithium battery's you will soon have spent as much on the battery's as you did on the ...
Summary: I had a more expensive Sony digital camera until it go stolen when i had my house broken into (no house insurance meant a very unhappy me and very much out of pocket with no camera). So looked around for a new camera that wasn't going to cost a fortune but had a good quality picture and video. I found the Samsung ES17 which when i read up about sounded like an alright digital camera and was a GREAT price. Am i glad i did.
Pros: Everything, good pic and video quality, good screen size, easy to use functions
Summary: Not one of the nicest cameras I've used! Thats the main thing I can say about the camera. Its big and chunk, ok thats fine if you have big hands but not for me. Its cumbersome to hold. It also is finished in a black plastic which looks cheap and nasty, although some would argue that reflects the price, my counter argument is that you can get a better Sony in the same price range. Samsung describe it as being compact, I'd argue that! In terms of functions, its average.
