Samsung ES15: Affordable, fast, easy to use, and takes great pictures

tirial, Dooyoo
13 August 2012
  • Summary: The Samsung ES15 is a compact budget camera, which takes AA batteries and stores pictures on a standard SD card. It is also easy to use and has been my preferred camera for some time. The AA batteries rather an integral battery is extremely useful at conventions or displays, where recharging lithium cells is impractical, but replacement batteries are easy to purchase. Physically, it is small enough to fit easily in a bag or a pocket, and reasonably robust.
  • Pros: affordable, easy to use, great camera
  • Cons: Can be slow in low light conditions

One I knew Earlier

Jackie, Amazon

  • Summary: I had a 7mpi Samsung which was over six years old. I wanted to upgrade but not go too over board with Pixles. I did read the reviews +/-. I had a birthday coming up so I was aware of the price too. My old memory cards and indeed batteries needed to be replaced as well. All in all it's a good purchase. the larger lcd screen makes things easier.I put a protective film on it straight away (Top tip)Even if you think it won't get stratched it just might!

  • Excerpt: "...the pink version of the Samsung ES15 camera for about £60 back in 2009 and it still holds its quality now. The look of it is quite average and it is a lot thicker than most digital cameras as it uses AA batteries but this is to your advantage! With most other cameras if you don't have your charger, you are a bit stuck, whereas with this one- anywhere in the world you can give your camera the power it needs! There is even a mode on the camera where ...
  • Pros: Face smoothing abilities, no spots !
  • Cons: Some modes take a while to process the photo once taken

Samsung ES15: Looking for an affordable and portable digital camera??

FlashMagic, Dooyoo
18 November 2010
  • Summary: As a frequent concert goer I needed a new digital camera and it needed to be able to take great quality pictures while also fitting in my pocket. This Samsung digital camera is perfect for both these roles and is great value for money. This 10 mega pixel camera (one of only a few cameras at 10 MP at its price) produces excellent photo's. The camera has a standard flash and the optical zoom is pretty good.
  • Pros: portable, light weight, good picture quality, strong, very reliable, useful features, 10MP
  • Cons: Doesn't always focus properly,

  • Excerpt: "...and own a good few Samsung products including my phone (at the time) and my laptop, and soon my new TV :D The Samsung ES15 is a 10.2 mega pixel camera with optical zoom, as well as facial detection technology. Also, it comes with image stabilzation and red eye reduction, as standard. The ES15 is lightweight and slim, with a decent sized screen on the back so you can easily see what photos you are taking. LOVE THIS CAMERA

luv dinos, Amazon
1 September 2010
  • Summary: BOUGHT THIS CAMERA FOR MY 9 YEAR OLDS BIRTHDAY AND HAVE HAD FOR 4 MONTHS NOW. HAVE FOUND IT TO BE REALLY GOOD AND EASY FOR HER TO USE. THE PICS SEEM TO COME OUT IN HIGH QUALITY AND VERY CLEAR COLOURS. SEEMS TO BE QUITE ROBUST CAMERA WAS DROPPED TWICE ON A HARD TILED FLOORING AND ALL THAT HAPPENED WAS THE BATTERIES FELL OUT. THIS CAMERA DOES HOWEVER RUN ON DOUBLE A'S AND SUCKS UP A LOT OF POWER, KEEP SPARE ONES TO HAND AND BEST ADVISE IS TO USE RECHARGEABLE ONES.

An excellent little camera

emj83, Dooyoo
20 July 2010
  • Summary: I purchased this camera from Asda online for around £40, which I think must have been an offer on at the time (Feb 2010) as it is one of the cheapest prices I've seen for a digital camera. The camera is a stylish silver colour, is a compact size (9.5cmx2.5cmx6.5cm) and is quite light-weight at approx 125g, it comes with a rope that can be attached to the camera so it can be carried. The photo quality is excellent, it is a 10.2 mega pixel camera with x3 optical zoom.
  • Pros: Reasonably priced, good photos
  • Cons: Not good night shots
