Summary: The camera works just fine and I am using it regularly and plan to put it to even greater use. It was a bargain for the money and I do not have to have the "very latest" gizmo to make me happy. I have always been "utilitarian" in that if it gets the job done it fine with me.
Summary: This is the THIRD camera exactly like this one that I have purchased. I couldn't find one in a store which is why I bought a couple from Amazon. The first one I bought at Wal Mart because it was cheap and I took about 8,000 yes I said eight thousand!! photos with it and was amazed!
Summary: I bought this little camera approx. a year ago. Takes great pictures and is really easy to use. The Shutter started not closing approx. 8 months ago, so I assumed it was a battery problem. Over time, it started not closing and now it won't open, nor will it close.
Summary: Samsung s860 problems: Out of focus, you can't use rechargeable batteries, the manual is lousy, and I've only been able to delete one picture at a time. this is a lousy camera. (Do the battery companies own Samsung? What's the deal?) My Cannon was much better, but it got stolen.
Summary: I bought three of the Samsung S860s for some kids prior to a trip. One of the lenses didn't work (it was jammed) from the start. The other two (about 2 weeks old seem ok) but one was not from the start. Luckily Amazon will take it back.
Summary: The only reason that I gave this item 2 stars instead of one is because when I purchased it the price was much cheaper and up until this work it did work pretty good. I bought this camera for my husband last year for fathers day.
Summary: Loved this camera for the first week we owned it, that was until we tried to use it outdoors in bright sun. Since there is no viewfinder other than the rear panel lcd there is no way to frame a shot in bright sunlight when the lcd washes out.
Summary: Camera has lots of features for its price. It's picture quality however is not as sharp. All my indoor picture comes out quite grainy, regardless of the distance from the object. I am not sure if the flash is not strong enough, or the lens is the problem.
