The Digimax S1070 has a 2.7 inch 230K colour LCD display with 3648x2736 resolution shooting capabilities and 16:9 aspect ratio. It has a 1/2.33 inch 36 mp/cm2 pixel density CCD with 5x digital zoom, up to 1600 ISO sensitivity, 38mm wide zoom and 105 mm telephoto zoom, F3.0-F5.6 aperture setting, 1/1500 second shutter speed, with built-in flash (3m range). The camera has several flash modes (Auto / On / Off / Auto and Red-Eye Reduction / Slow Sync / Fill-in / Flash off / Red-Eye fix, -2 to +2 EV in 1/3 EV Steps exposure compensation, metering options (Multi, Center, Spot, Face Detection AE) and movie recording capabilities (640 x 480, 320 x 240, 160 x 120 @ 30/15 fps MPEG-4). The camera supports SD/MMC/SDHC card, and has an internal memory capacity of 16 MB. It has Multi-point AF, Center and Face Detection; 80cm focus rage with 10 cm macro focus range. 6 white balance positions plus manual. The camera also supports a USB 1.0 (1.5Mbit/sec. transfer rate) interface and is powered by a Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery. The Samsung Digimax S1070 measures 93 x 62 x 24 mm (3.7 x 2.4 x 0.9 in) and weighs 150 g (5.3 oz). It comes with a battery charger.

Features

The Digimax S1070 features Digital Image Stabilisation which makes adjustments to camera shake, enabling users to take clear images without blur - even in low light conditions; Face Detection - which automatically recognises up to nine faces and adjusts brightness and contrast for natural looking portraits; Red-Eye Fix - which utilises an algorithm to automatically detect and eliminate red-eye from the shots and Scene Mode, which allows users to choose from various scene modes to automatically adjust camera settings, such as exposure, colour and contrast. These can include Portrait, Children, Night scene, Backlight, Landscape, Sunset, Dawn, Firework, Snow, Close up, Self, Cafe, Food and Text. The camera allows users to take Self Portrait. The camera notifies users with a beep when the faces are positioned correctly, reducing the chances of half face shots. It features a Photo Help Guide with step-by-step instructions and illustration on use of the camera are provided through the LCD for users convenience and a Recycle Bin that allows users to retrieve images one accidently deletes them. The Samsung S1070 also features Multi Slide Show that enables users to add music and motion and arrange pictures into a slide show.
