Samsung Digimax i5

CNET
12 September 2014
  • Summary: Its feature set is both competitive and interesting, and it has a top-notch 2.5-inch LCD, but the 5-megapixel Samsung Digimax i5 can't keep pace with the competition when it comes to speed and photo quality.
  • Pros: Useful, broad feature set; large, bright LCD; ultraportable; solid build; voice-recording mode; included text-recognition software; strong video-recording features; large internal memory.
  • Cons: Slow performance; below-average picture quality; not as intuitive to use as competition; not suited for wide-angle shooting.

  • Excerpt: You can buy anything from a tiny mobile phone to an outsized refrigerator with that familiar Samsung logo on it. And, in most cases, you can be assured of a good level of build quality at a very reasonable price.

Samsung Digimax i5 Digital Camera Review

Digital Camera Review
16 September 2005
  • Excerpt: Introduction The Samsung Digimax i5 is definitely an eye-catcher. The brushed stainless steel case and minimal clutter on the front of the camera give it a really nice look. It's also hard to resist turning it on and off repeatedly when you first get it just to see the lens cover slide back and forth. This ultra-compact camera features a 5 megapixel sensor, 3x optical zoom in a non-protruding lens with a 2.5 inch LCD.

  • Excerpt: The Digimax i5 ($350) is Samsung's entry into the very crowded ultra thin camera market. The i5 features a 5 Megapixel CCD, 3X optical zoom lens, large 2.5" LCD display, and VGA movie mode. If that sounds like every other cameras in this class, you're right. But the Digimax i5 has a very interested features of its own, and I'll cover those in this review. Let's begin!
  • Pros: Compact and stylish metal body; comes in three colors, Very good photo quality (though see issues below), Many manual controls, Large, high resolution 2.5" LCD display (though low light visibility could be better), Tons of built-in memory (50MB), VGA (30 fps) movie mode, USB 2.0 High Speed support, Nice macro mode
  • Cons: Photos could be sharper; noise a bit above average, Noticeable shutter lag, Poor low light focusing despite having an AF-assist lamp, Continuous shooting mode borders on useless: LCD turned off during shooting; frame rate is sluggish as well, Redeye, Weak flash; Safety Flash isn't great, Menu system is untraditional and can be frustrating, No tripod mount, Not very Mac friendly: no bundled software, difficulty playing back movies

  • Summary: A surprisingly well put together camera and actually one of the best point and shoots around in recent months. The i5 takes some very sharp images and is excellent at capturing all manner of tonal ranges. A simple, stylish and easy to use pocket sized camera that is likely to please the beginners and the enthusiasts.

Röviden: Samsung Digimax i5

Pixinfo
5 December 2006
  • Summary: A Samsung komolyan veszi a fotópiac meghódítását: ennek legbiztosabb jele az új, 5 megapixeles, Digimax i5 jelzésű ultrakompakt, magyar nyelvű menüvel.

Samsung Digimax i5

Absolut Photo
